Kadhir went to dheivaanai's house and informed her about subi accepting the proposal.she was on cloud nine.kadhir asked her to fix the engagement on an auspicious day after a month.As karthi was the only one whom dheivanai could see as a groom,she wanted to do everything from scratch including the bride and groom meeting and poo choodal ceremony.kadhir too accepted that.dheivaanai straight away took the calender and found out the day after tomorrow will be the auspicious day.she said to kadhir that she and her relatives will visit subi on the same day for the poo choodal ceremony.After some important discussions kadhir left for home to take care of the arrangements.A few minutes later karthi entered his home after meeting selvi only to be welcomed by his overwhelmed mother who was on the call with somebody.on seeing karthi she ended the call and strided to him with a smile that reached her eyes.she took evil eyes and cracked her knuckles on the side of her head.karthi was also happy to see her mother's smile.he asked her the reason.when she revealed him the reason he was shocked.He immediately opposed the idea of marriage with subi.but dheivanai being adamant in her decision straightly went to her room after latching the door she tired to hang herself.karthi startled at her stunt banged on the door.without waiting for a second he broke the door and entered inside.he dropped her down who was coughing.karthi bring some water and made her drink.

He too cried

Dhei: kalyanam pannikiren nu enaku sathiyam pannu da

She showed her palm to him.
His mind wavered between the moments he spent with selvi and his mother who had spent her whole life for him and his brother.

He with much remorse made a promise to his mother.

She wiped her tears with her pallu and informed him to get ready on the day after tomorrow to leave for subi's house.

Karthi mindlessly went outside and made a call to selvi to meet him immediately though they met just few minutes ago.He revealed everything to selvi who was literally shocked and couldn't process the information she just heard stood there with her eyes brimming.she thought how could subi accept the proposal despite she and dheeran had a fight.Apart from that thought she was angry on karthi.

Without having a word with him she left from there.

Karthi stood there with tears in his eyes as he watched her retreating figure.

Even though selvi wanted to confront this with subi she remained silent as karthi's action hurt her.if she did subi might know her relationship with karthi.now she decided to wait and see how things unfold after dheeran's arrival.

Subi's home:

Kadhir informed subi and kalyani about the arrival of dheivanai's relatives and arranged everything needed with the help of kalyani.kalyani was pensive through out the arrangement but kadhir eased her up.

One day after:

Dheivanai with her relatives arrived at kadhir's home.subi descended down all decked up and made to serve coffee for all.she didn't raised her head.

Relative lady:chithi un marumava pakka apdiye mahalatchi aatam iruka...en thambi ku etha ponnu dha....

Dhei:pinna illama epdi en thambi mavalache

Rl:dei karthi nimindhu ponna paaru da

Karthi who sat there uninterested looked at subi who was looking down

Rl2:kolunthanare...ponnu kitta thaniya pesanumna pesiti vaanga...
She teased him.

Subi's breathe stuck in her throat at the thought of being alone with him that too as a prospective bride and groom.she somehow felt unease and wanted to avoid the situation.before that kadhir spoke up.

Kar:mathini....adhellam vendam

Rl1:en da apdi solra

Kar:adhu....adhan Avakooda dha chinnavayasula irunthu pesurane...innum pesa enna iruku...adhan ellathayum mudivu pannitingle apro enna...

He sulked

Rl2:ayyo...chinnathai en kolunthan innum nerathakadathama seekiram ellam pesimudinga nu sollama solraru...avlo avasaram

They all chuckled together.

Dhei:seri... chithra...veni...rendu perum subi ku poo vachitu valayal ellam pottuvidunga

The ladies made her wear the bangles and pinned the jasmine flowers on her hair.

She lifted subi's chin and made her looka at her.

Subi didn't speak anything

Then subi was made to sit beside her parents

Dhei:ama...akka pesirlam...kadhir uh adutha vaaram vellikilama naal romba nalla iruku annike nichayam pannikalam...moonu maasathula kalyanatha vachikalam....enna solra

Kal:Anni....vellikilama na innum oru vaaram dhane iruku adhukulla epdi ellam erpaadu panradhu...

Kad:ama akka...mandabam pakkanum, invitation print pannanum ellarkum kudukanum,apro subi ku karthi ku  jewels dress ellam edukanum...oruvaarathula epdi

Dhei:kadhir uh adhellam pannirlam pa namma sondharakaranga ithana per irukomla aaaluku onna senjomna mudichiralam.naga thunimani la subi um karthi um mattum poi eduthkattum avaluku pidichadha pathu eduthukattum...

Dhei:ama kadhir uh...ellam nallabadiya nadakum...nee kavala padatha seri nu sollu ya

Kadhir glanced at kalyani who nodded her head

Kal:seri ka vellikilama eh nichayam vachikalam

Subi's heartbeat quickened as she never thought things would be excalate this soon.

Dhei:seri apo naanga varom...

Kad:seri ka

With that dheivanai and her relatives went from there.

Kadhir told kalyani to inform about engagement to amudha and her mother.kalyani called amudha and told her that subi's engagement was fixed with karthi on friday.amudha eventhough wanted subi as her daughter in law hide her disappointment and gave her blessings to subi.
