"That it will never come again is what makes Love so Sweet."
One week had slipped by since the passionate moment on the deck, and while the days flowed as they usually did aboard the Thousand Sunny, a palpable shift lingered in the air.
Zoro and Sanji's relationship had deepened, punctuated by stolen kisses and quiet moments shared beneath the stars.
Zoro, ever the stoic swordsman, had taken to sneaking pecks on Sanji's cheek when no one was watching, and at night, they found comfort in each other's arms, a quiet sanctuary away from the chaos of their adventures.
Currently, the night darkened, moon shone brightly casting a glow over the ship as Sanji busied himself in the kitchen,as Sanji tried to focus on his work, slicing vegetables with precision.
The words haunted him in the best way, a reflection of how fleeting moments were—and how much sweeter they became because of it.
Even after that heated moment with Zoro earlier, his heart still raced uncontrollably.
Every time he thought about the swordsman's touch or the way Zoro had kissed him with such certainty, Sanji's fingers fumbled slightly, betraying the cool demeanor he was struggling to maintain.
The kitchen, usually his sanctuary, now felt like a room brimming with emotions he wasn't sure how to handle.
With a huff, Sanji shook his head, banishing the distracting thoughts, and focused on preparing snacks for everyone.
Plates filled with cookies, and fruit were soon arranged beautifully—because even when his heart was a chaotic mess, Sanji refused to serve anything less than perfect.
He placed the plates on a tray and walked out onto the deck.
The sea breeze hit his face, helping to clear his mind—at least for a moment.
The rest of the crew was scattered across the ship, waiting for the snacks and then go to sleep.
Sanji approached Robin and Nami first, handing them the snacks with a charming smile.
"For you, ladies," he said smoothly.
"Enjoy."
Both women exchanged knowing glances but smiled in return.
He then turned toward the others.
"You guys can grab your snacks from the kitchen," Sanji called out to the rest of the crew.
Luffy perked up instantly.
"Food?! I'm on it!" he shouted, racing off toward the kitchen with Usopp and Chopper trailing behind him, laughing.
Sanji smirked, shaking his head.
But before his thoughts could wander too far, his gaze instinctively drifted upward—toward the crow's nest.
The place where he would be.
Without a second thought, Sanji adjusted the tray and made his way toward the crow's nest.
His heart was thudding a little faster with each step, and he didn't know if it was nerves, anticipation, or both.
When he reached the door, Sanji peeked inside, expecting to see Zoro lifting weights or maybe sharpening his swords.
But to his confusion, the room was empty.
His brow furrowed as he stepped inside, the quiet of the crow's nest unnerving after the noise of the deck below.
"Where the hell...?"
Sanji muttered to himself, scanning the room.
He walked over to the low sofa, figuring he'd just leave the snacks on the table in front of it.
