"have a seat." he nodded towards the chair in front of him.

"i am so glad you are back. i have some important information to discuss with you regarding your contract."

"if i may-"

"you may not." he interrupted. "we had an agreement. and you didn't follow it."

his words were followed by silence. "how did i know?" he laughed. "sooha, i didn't know you could be that naive. did you think i left my son's fate only in your hands?"

she looked down, embarrassed.

"you should've told me that heeseung was again in jake's life." mr. sim smirked. "but i am not surprised that you manage to disappoint everyone around you. do you feel nice about that?"

sooha's hands began to shake. "no, sir." she whispered.

"was it so hard to keep them apart like i asked you to?"

she looked up to him. "i couldn't. jake loves heeseung too much... i... i tried, but i just couldn't do anything."

mr. sim looked down at her coldly.

"you're fired."

sooha got up abruptly, her eyes wide.

"please no! i can't i can't i can't! please, mr. sim! i can't go home! i am going to die!" tears started filling her eyes.

"i tried everything, mr sim! i did some horrible things, but he just wouldn't listen!"

"well, good thing i found someone who makes him listen."

sooha fell to her knees, crying. "if i couldn't keep them apart, do you really think that niki will be able to?"

mr. sim grabbed the cup of coffee from his table and took a long sip from it.

"yes."

the man walked towards the door. "now leave before i come back here." he said before exiting.

sooha wiped away her tears.

"jake is too dear to me and i hurt him too many times because of that old man. if heeseung makes him happy i will make sure that niki doesn't ruin their relationship. "

she got up.

"i owe you, jake sim."
