jake kicked the door open and threw himself on the couch. he sat in the dark for a couple of minutes, staring at the wall.

when he heard sooha's steps, he didn't turn around.

"oh! hello, jake," she sat next to him. she was dressed in a silk night dress and her hair was down and a bit messy.  "why are you so loud at this hour? you woke me up."

jake gulped. he didn't say anything.

"you know... actually, I wanted to talk to you." sooha said. she got up and turned the lights on, then she sat back next to jake. he took a deep breath in and closed his eyes.

sooha smiled at him and put her hand on his.  "I know that I am supposed to leave in 2 days. but we could maybe convince your dad. I want to stay with you. you can't deny that our connection grew these last days. I feel like we both got rid of some kind of burden and we are much better." sooha placed a soft kiss on jake's cheek.

finally jake spoke. "and should I thank you for that?"

sooha frowned. "no? I didn't mean anything like that." she sighed, not knowing what jake was talking about. "but... if you want to thank me so bad..."

she started unbuttoning her soft cotton shirt.

jake looked her up and down while her fingers were working around the buttons.

"and how did heeseung react when you told him?"

sooha froze.

"what?"

"oh, you don't remember or what? "

sooha gulped and looked away. "jake, I-"

"do you know what you're going to do now?"

"jake, please-"

"you're going to heeseung's house and you will  explain everything to him because he refuses to listen to me. and you're going to tell the truth this time. you're going to tell him that I had to marry you so I can show my father that I'm not into boys. you're going to tell him that I disappeared from his life because my father was checking on me 24/7 and if he found out that I had any connection to heeseung, my dad would've killed him. so the only way I could know anything about him was mainly through you. because i actually trusted you, sooha... am i being clear?" "oh and one more thing. I don't want to see you anymore so find somewhere to stay these remaining days. you can go to your crazy friends: hyuna, ji-"

sooha kneeled before jake and grabbed his hand. "jake, please..." her voice cracked. "please look at me." he looked down at her. "I love you so much, jake." he rolled his eyes and took a step back.

"i'm obsessed with you and everything you do. believe me, jake. we're both destined to be together. we're both survivors. do you remember that day when we met at the airport?"

jake suddenly started feeling dizzy. his ears were ringing and his head was hurting like crazy.

he sat back on the chair.

no. on the couch.

there is no chair here.

"of course I don't remember! I've never met you!"

sooha got up and wiped away her tears. Tchaikovsky started playing in the background, and she began dancing ballet gracefully.

"sooha!" sooha got up and wiped away her tears. she nodded slowly. "i'll go... and I'll talk to heeseung."

jake nodded his head once and left the room.

he needed to sort his thoughts. something wasn't right.

he went to his pool and sat at its edge, soaking his feet. he looked down at the glistening water. it was so pretty. when he heard the front door shut after sooha's angry steps, he finally heard nothing but silence.

he felt at peace. he felt hope.

he would sort things out with heeseung, and then "wake up..."

he would sort things out with heeseung, and then he would finally be free from sooha.

although his plan probably was starting to crumble at the end, he managed to get it together.

he was still glad sooha was here. she told jake so much about heeseung's therapy sessions that he felt like he was the one there. he sometimes felt like he was living, suffering, enjoying heeseung's life.

jake got up after a while and went back inside. he wasn't sure what he wanted to do, so he went to the fridge and grabbed a can of bear. he sat down on the cold floor, resting his back on the wall of his living room.

minutes passed by, and he was glad sooha wasn't back. the affection and care he had for her all disappeared slowly.

even if she wanted to consume him whole.

sooha felt like a real personification of death sometimes.
