"Jake don't leave me fucking guessing, what did they find?" Devon says rubbing his temples. "They found out I've been.......cutting myself." Lexy starts tearing up and walks toward Jake and pulls up his sleeves. "Jake," Lexy says with blurry eyes and a voice crack. "you could've talked to us. I know you think this is a burden, but it's not. What happened with Logan is not your fault." Lexy says hugging Jake.
"Okay, what the hell happened? I'm tired of feeling left out." Grant says, "Me too." Junior says walking in the room and closing the door. "Oh my gosh." Jake whispers then sitting on the edge of his bed and his head in his hands. "Not now!" Devon yells. "I'm tired of fucking waiting, what happened, huh? A killer doll?" Grant says sarcastically and the Terror Trio looks at Grant. "Wait-" "Don't believe," Junior says "Lexy used that excuse before." "Fine." Grant shrugs his shoulders and sits back down and the Terror Trio breathes.
Devon phones rings and it's his mom. "Shit, hey mom..... Did you not see the note I left.....Yeah, I'm heading back tonight, bye love you."
"Can you two go? and I'm not asking." Lexy says and Grant and Junior leave. "Jake, are you okay? "No, I'm not. They think they're helping, but not. More therapy sessions aren't gonna help. I'm tired." Jake says. Devon walks over and sits on his bed beside. Jake breaks down and puts his head in Devon's chest and cries.
"Jake, what's all this commotion?" Bree says walking in and seeing Lexy and Devon. "Jake we told you no one over." Bree says then finally noticing his position. "Are you okay?" Jake wipes his tears and looks at Bree.
"You're not helping. The meds, extra therapy sessions, sheltering me from my friends! I know you think you are, but you're not." Jake says crying. "Hey, what's going?" Logan says, Grant and Junior start to get worried, so they come back out.
"Oh my gosh, everyone go! EVERYONE OUT! PLEASE GO!" Jake yells then pushes all six of them out he then looks his door and cries. Everyone's shocked. "Devon, you okay?" Lexy asks. "No, no I'm not." He says this, then cries into Lexy's arms.
~Next Morning~
Devon has left Jake a bunch of messages, he read them at first, then just stopped looking. Kim figured out what happened after Logan dropped him off at home because Devon was too hysterical to drive back.
"Hey baby, you okay?" Kim asks then Devon looks at her with a 'what do you think?' face. "Never-mind, has he responded to any of your texts?" Kim asks and Devon sits up the talk.
"I think I messed up. He asked for my help specifically, but I invited Lexy and Grant, well he invited himself, but how do I make it up to him." Devon says, open to any suggestions. "Go to his house, but not today. Grandma,Grandpa, your cousins, aunts, and uncles are coming over." Kim says while getting out of her son's bed. "Oh shit." Devon says "Oh shit's right." " They're gonna ask me if I have a girlfriend, then I reexplain that I'm gay, then a bunch of homophobic and weight comments the whole night." Devon says lying in bed. "Yep, get prepped." Kim says then leaves the room. A ping then comes from Devon's phone and he sees it's Jake and it says.
"don't thik i forgot youre at defcon 1 tn. u get it dev❤️"
Dev? He's missed the feeling of that word. Everyone calls him that, but when Jake says he gets butterflies, it's like he falls in love everytime.
"thanks❤️ im sorry."
"ik you re, i jus neded time to tink, this meds have me loooopy"
Devon forgot about the meds, no wonder the spelling mistakes.
"i can tell the spelling mistakes are crazy😭"
"what misteaks?"
"youll know. i gtg to get ready xx"
That was the best conversation they've had in days. Devon decides to wear this white Sabrina Carpenter shirt. It's white and in the top left corner it's a kiss mark with "Short n' Sweet" written and on the back it's every song in the album, he also decided to wear black jeans then he hears the doorbell and ring and his loud family.
