Chapter 20

Krish Bedi

I was working from home for almost past week. It was fun as I was enjoying my time with kids and working from home as well. "Mommy phone" Li handed me my phone. Dmitri was calling. "Hey" I heard him saying. "Hello. Why did you call?" I asked.

"Actually I went to your office today but you were not there. So I thought I should call you" Dmitri stated.

"Oh. Actually I am working from home" I replied.

"Oh Okay. Anyways, I wanted to meet you and discuss regarding the final launch" he said.

"Okay. You can come to my house and we can discuss it, if that's okay with you?" I asked.

"Okay. I'll be there in few minutes" he said.

"Okay. See you then. Bye" I said and hanged up.

The doorbell rang. I opened the door and it was Dmitri. "Hey. Come inside" I walked inside asking him to follow me. "Sit here I'll bring you water" I pointed at the couch and he smiled and sat. I went inside the kitchen and bought a glass of water. I handed the glass to him.

"Thank you" he smiled. "Hello kids" he looked at the kids. Li and Vik were sitting opposite to Dmitri. "Hey" Li smiled. Vik just ignored him. "So what are we going to discuss?" I asked. "Your father-in-law asked us to visit his office today. I was going to discuss about the final launch but he called. So we have to leave now" he completed. "Okay. I'll just get the kids ready" I stood up.

"Kids?" he frowned. "Yeah. I can't leave my kids alone. Kids let's get you ready we are visiting your father and grandpa" I said excitedly. Both jumped in excitement and ran towards their room. "I'll be back" I looked at Dmitri. He nodded.

Here we were at the Vasiliev's office. Li was excited to meet Dante. We reached my father-in-law's cabin. Dmitri knocked on the door and we heard a 'come in', we went inside only to find father-in-law and Dante both were present in the room. "Father" Li yelled making Dante look at us. He stood up and walked towards us. He picked up Li in his arms and kissed his forehead. I picked Vik in my arms. "What brings you here?" he asked.

"I called them" my father-in-law said. "Dmitri and Krish come, sit here" he said and Dmitri went and sat in front of my father-in-law. "Can you look after kids? I'll be back" I looked at Dante. "Sure" he smiled. I handed Vik to him and now he was holding both the kids. "See you at the lunch time" Dante smiled and kissed my cheek making me blush. "Okay lovebirds, Krish you can meet your husband later" father said. My face was beet red. Dante nodded and left.

I walked and sat beside Dmitri. "So I called you both to discuss about the final launch" father stated. I nodded in agreement. "I appreciate your concern Mr. Vasiliev but your company is not the one investing, it's my company who is investing" Dmitri stated. I frowned at his statement. It was Mr. Vasiliev who helped him and me. "I know Mr. Volkov. For your kind information I was the one who helped your company or else it would've being bankrupt" father spat. Bankrupt? Dmitri didn't say anything about this.

"I know and I am thankful but this is my company's final launch and I want it to be discussed with Krish and not with you" he pointed. "Dmitri enough. He is the one who helped us" I said and stood up. "Krish sit down, I am the one investing in you project so shut it" he spat. "What is wrong with you?" I yelled. "Everything. If the discussion is over I am leaving" he stood up and left. How could he do that? "Krish calm down" father looked at me. "How can I? He might pull out the shares" I sighed.
