A letter from zaun

Vi had been trying to open up a bit more, she'd been hanging out with Ekko regularly. She still hadn't been talking to Jinx. In fact, she tried to avoid being anywhere near her.

She was trying to forget caitlyn. But to nobody's surprise, she couldn't. Every fight, every turn, Caitlyn's face was always there. From time to time she'd read her letter. She was trying to convince herself that she was doing the right thing. By leaving caitlyn alone, she thought it would keep her safe.

If caitlyn had returned to zaun, she'd be at risk. And the thought of caitlyn harmed in any way, made vi both angry, and heartbroken.

"Am i interupting?" Ekko snapped vi out of her thoughts.

"maybe" she cracked a smile

"Well so sorry if i interrupted your hopeless pining" Ekko said leaning against the wall next to vi.

"Who's pining?"

"You. If you think you don't look like you're lost, think again. You look like some dog looking for its owner"

"Nobody owns me." As if anyone would believe that, she knew that the mention of any relation to caitlyn tugged at her heartstrings.

"You can't keep this up forever vi, you either have to talk to her or finally get over whatever you feel about her"

She leaned her head back against the wall. Turning to face ekko she sighed.

"She wrote to me.."

Ekko turned his head to face her "wrote you?"

Vi laughed slightly "Yeah, piltie wrote me a goddamn letter. You believe that shit?"

"You sound like that's a problem"

She sighed once more, "because it is, I have to make her think i don't care, that i don't want to see her, if i give her the slightest answer she'll end up down here. I can't put her at risk again ekko, since jinx is so unpredictable."

Ekko shrugged "you'll have to do something eventually vi, cause quite frankly you look pathetic" he laughed while walking away.

Vi snatched a piece of paper before sitting back down at one of the picnic tables, she had sat there for hours trying to figure out if she wanted to go through with this.

Vi found herself back where she never thought she'd have to set foot in ever again, Piltover.

She had remembered how to get to Caitlyn's, although this time she was careful not to let anyone see her. Mainly out of fear that she was now a target herself.

She looked through caitlyn's window hoping nobody was there, and to her luck there was no one.

She slipped the piece of paper on the ledge of the window before closing it again. Then she was back on her way.

It had been a few days before Caitlyn found the letter. Vi put the letter there purposely, mainly because she was still unsure if she wanted Caitlyn to read it. But by pure coincidence one day, Caitlyn was hot and opened her window for air, then she saw the piece of paper.

She didn't know it'd been there for days so she quickly looked out her window trying to see anybody that may have been near that could have left it. But to her surprise when she opened it, it was from Vi.

"Hey, cupcake, I'm not really the type to do this whole 'writing letters' thing, but there are some things that I can't quite put into words out loud. You know I'm more of a punch first, talk later kind of person."
