"General..? Bad time? I think we got something."

"Officer Nolan, wonderful to see you."

"Someone gave a tip that Jinx was spotted with the firelights, in some underground area, problem being is the door can only be opened from the inside"

"Uh huh, do you know where commander Kiramman is? I'm sure she'd be thrilled to hear this news."

"Uh, no ma'am. Not since this morning."

"Alright then, see if you can find her to share this,
enthralling news."

"As ordered General."

As maddie was on her way out, Ambessa called.

"Oh and officer Nolan?"

"Yes?" She turned.

"Very much appreciate the tip about Violet's sister."

Vi and Caitlyn were sitting side by side on the cot, smiling and laughing.

As well as they may seem, they both are trying to cover their scars.

Vi nudges her shoulder against caitlyn's.

"Can I tell you something?"

"Why are you asking? Now i'm nervous"

The fighter smiled, turning her attention to the wall in front of them.

"Well if you repeat this to anyone i'll deny it, but i did miss you. After y'know"

Caitlyn looked down. She knew vi wasn't trying to guilt her about it, but she suddenly felt as if she was drowning in it.

"Vi,"

"No. I know, you're gonna tell me that you're sorry, that you didn't mean it, you were angry"

She sighs leaning her head back against the firm wall behind her.

The brawler starts figiting with her fingers

"For the longest time, I hated you for that. But I also craved you. You were the first person i'd seen in seven years cait. I can't lie and say i immediately liked you, because you were so.."

She looked the sherif up and down

"Uptight. But, like i said.. I think i became addicted to you. I knew i couldn't hate you." She smiles looking at caitlyn.

"I know we have our differences, especially with.."

Caitlyn finally turned to face her. "I know, I wish i could say that I don't hate her, that I give up on trying to capture your sister.."

"I know.."

Vi moved slightly closer, brushing her thumb against the shooters cheek.

"And i won't try and stop you.."

The sherif's cheeks felt heat rise to them.

Vi leaned closer and closed the gap between them.

The stayed like that for a moment, lips brushing against lips slowly.
