𝗧𝗪: 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺
It was the last day of camping it didn't go as planned but the crew made the most of it. They made s'mores, told campfire stories sang stories, and went on a lot of hikes. For The last campfire they decided to share secrets "So who's next" Finn asked, looking at everyone Luna looked at Hardin and Nina looked at Jeremiah. "I'll go" Luna raised her hand "So about 3 years ago before I met any of you amazing people me and...Hardin" Luna brought her voice to a whisper at the end of her sentence.
Luna looked at Hardin, wanting him to finish her sentence Hardin finally looked at her and sighed "We hook up" he said bluntly, not sugarcoating anything. Everyone was silent, jaws dropped "Honestly I'm not surprised" Emily commented in an impressed tone. "Well, I am" Dave yelled in a baffled tone "H-How?! Why?! Did this happen!?" He yelled in this same tone.
Everyone laughed at Dave's reaction "I guess we were caught up in the moment" Hardin replied. "Trust me it was a one-time thing" Luna reassured Dave. The crew continued sharing and started heading to bed. Hardin still sat by the campfire for a few minutes and Emily stayed to put out the fire "How is your relationship the way it is?" Hardin asked "I mean how it is so perfect" he rephrased Emily chuckled softly.
"no relationship is perfect but it does take a lot of commitment and hard work" Emily replied as she stood up. "She deserves so much better" Hardin putting his hood on his head. Emily sighed and next to him "Maybe, but she also deserves the truth tell her why you broke up with her she'll understand" Emily suggested, side-hugging him. Emily stood up and went into her tent with Finn, leaving Hardin alone with his thoughts.
The next morning, Conrad, Carine, and Mae spent most of the morning figuring out how to handle the house-for-sale situation they had been so focused they had completely forgotten that today was the last day of the camping trip.
On the road, the crew was only a few minutes away from the summer house. Carine, Leo, and Mae decided to meet them unexpectedly. "I didn't know Eli had a sister," Leo said in a shocked tone "Well, not to brag but I'm the older, cooler, prettier sister" Mae started to rock the back the heels of her foot, back and forth. Carine was on the phone with Jere explaining everything. After a few minutes of waiting the van pulled up.
Leo's face lit up when he saw Nina's face through the tinted window. Dave opened the door first and tossed the keys to Leo. Nina slid the door letting everyone out Nina ran up and hugged Leo, almost making him fall back "You guys make me wanna throw up" Hardin commented as he got out of the van. The others got out and hugged each other "Mae?" Eli's voice was filled with shock Mae slowly walked toward Eli with her arms out and wide "Baby sister!!" Mae said singingly, hugging Eli "Sister?" everyone said in sync turning their attention toward them.
Conrad stepped out and completely froze when he saw Jeremiah. "Why didn't you tell me?" Jeremiah questioned, locking eyes with Conrad. Conrad didn't answer he just walked back inside Jeremiah followed him "We'll meet you back on campus" Nina let Jeremiah know it was ok to leave.
The crew decided to go to the boardwalk instead of going straight back to campus. "So when you gonna tell us about your secret sister" Emily nudged Eli's shoulder Eli cleared her throat but didn't say anything. Mae looked over waiting for Eli's response but instead finishing it for her "It's complicated" Mae wrapped her arm around Eli. "Well you guys definitely look alike" Finn commented with his mouth full of ice cream.
After a few moments of silence, Emily noticed Hardin was mopey Emily stopped walking so the group was ahead then went next to Hardin. "Any luck?" Emily asked shaking his shoulders he didn't say anything just giving her a look "Hardin! She'll never know how you feel if you don't try" Emily let out a frustrated sigh "Get your girl back" Emily smiled, nudging his shoulder again.
