Gaurup - Beginning of Love

20. Pehla pehla daraar ?

Rupali was leaning her head on the wall and her eyes were closed. A soft knock on her door made her open her eyes. She got up from bed and opened the door. Ketki entered and gulped hard looking at RG.

" Is my shot already ready ketki ?? okay then... Chalo.. " Rupali said innocently not knowing what had happened few minutes ago. Before ketki could tell her, she left the room. 

As she entered the sets, everybody were present. She noticed that the atmosphere was tense and how they all looked at her differently. Madalsa and Chavvi gave defiant looks and giggled at her which made her more annoyed. 

Rupali raised her eyebrows, frustrated by their behaviour and exhaled. " Sir, yeh mera close up shot tha na... why all cast members are here ? " she asked him. 

Romi sir remained silent and looked on helplessly. Baa, aneri, aashish, muskan gave pitiful looks and felt sorry for her. Just then rajan shahi spoke aloud while entering " Romi, come on.. roll the camera.. Rupali.. Take your position.. We need to finish the shot today. I can't waste anymore of my time ".

RG turned around and looked at rajan, perplexed. She noticed gaurav was not to be found anywhere. " What's happening ??.... Where is Gaurav ?? " she questioned, her voice was stern but mixed with fear. 

Madalsa quipped sarcastically " Arey dhakke maarke kaam se nikalne ke baad, kaun yahan rok sakta hai ? "

Rupali furrowed her brows and nodded her head in confusion. Rajan shahi exhaled and told " Yes.. I fired him. Gaurav won't be working anymore in this show. But you will. I just came back from the hospital where vaquar is admitted. I cannot tolerate GK's violence.... Anyway Chalo.. Roll camera Gulshan " he shouted. Romi sir looked on with controlled anger, displeased at his actions.

Gulshan rolled the camera and looked at RG pitifully. Rajan said aloud " ACTION "

Everyone looked on. RG stood still, anger bubbling up inside her. 

Rajan grunted and scratched his head. " What the hell Rupali ?? Act for God's sake " he screamed at her. 

" I QUIT " she retorted. The set went into pin drop silence for a minute. Rajan walked towards her " What did you say ?? " he asked in a low voice.

Rupali looked into his eyes, her eyes mirroring his anger and sarcasm " I.. QUIT " she replied.

Rajan shahi clenched his teeth and said in a low voice " How dare you .. ". 

" HOW DARE YOU !! " Rupali shouted back at him, making everyone jump and hold their breath for a second. They could see she was burning with fury. 

" How dare you rajan... How dare you fire gaurav ?? When it must be that wretched vaquar whom you should have fired ?? " she questioned him. Everyone were stunned.

" This harassment at workplace track was your idea na.. A real harassment happened at your workplace today and you don't give a damn about it. Not for once you asked me whether I am okay, but you visited that criminal at hospital ?? Arey jab galat ke against tum real life mein kade nahi ho sakthe, tho phir apni shows mein yeh sab faltu mein kyun dhikarahe ho ?? " she shouted breathing heavily.

Everyone including Rajan shahi looked on, the weight of her words sinking in.

Rupali puffed and said while nodding her head with conviction " Jahaan mere pati ka apmaan hua, mein wahaan kaam nahi karungi.... All the best to you and your vision " she did a pranaam, joining her hands together forcefully and stormed out of the sets.

Everyone were too stunned by her sudden decision and looked at rajan with a scornful look conveying that he deserved this for being unfair to two good people. Rajan shahi stood speechless.
