First Job

I watched the others finally understand what it means to be a squad so Kakashi passes them. I stand afterwards, and I walk away. I end up at my house where Drog showed up again. "Do you trust those humans?" I look at Drog. "I don't know my dad would talk about Kakashi a lot while Itachi wants me to assist with Sasuke's growth. But I've only known them for a day." Drog nods. "I'm not going to tell you who you can and can't trust. But remember your parents wanted you to be happy." I knew Drog meant it he may seem terrifying but Drog cares for my clan. "Thank you Drog." After he returned home I sighed softly before sitting against the wall. I hug my knees tightly to my chest and close my eyes. I struggle to keep myself from drowning under the weight of everything I'm feeling on top of what my connection to Drog is telling me. I hear a soft laughter that felt wrong and when I looked up I see a shadow with a razor tooth smile staring at me. "My father doesn't want you to know but..." I snort softly making the shadow pause. "If Drog doesn't want me to know then I don't need to know Viktor." The shadow chuckles. "Your a smart one not many know me thanks to Drog and your ancestors." I stand up and narrow my eyes. "My dad warned me about you he knew you'd try something with me." Viktor chuckled softly. "You'll see my power is useful soon Maxis. Your father did even if he denies it. There's a reason your clan died but you didn't." Viktor left and I felt confused. Viktor was an Exile, a member of Drog's family that went against the contract and tried to kill his summoner, and his power is Manipulation. I hear a knock on the door and when I open it up I see Naruto with a big goofy smile. "Hey Maxis! Do you want to come hangout with me!" I smile before nodding and I felt my hand get grabbed and he leads me to his house. I felt someone watching us so I had Drog watch from the shadows. "So how did you take Kakashi Sensei down with one punch?" I look at Naruto then I think back to my training with my parents. "My mom and dad were really strong. My mom was our lead medic so she knee crazy chakra control and taught me. My dad was the leader of the clan and so he wanted me trained to be the best. I was an oldest child so I was going to be the next Chief, basically the next Hokage, so I was put through crazy training." Naruto nods with a bigger smile. "So how come your here alone?" I faltered at that. "Um my family is gone Naruto..." He nods and looks guilty. "It's ok though I've had time to mourn. I don't want to think about the past anymore. So I gotta ask what's up with your rivalry with Sasuke?" Naruto grinned like a dork. "He's my best friend/rival I don't want to lose to him!" I giggle before nodding. "You two remind me of my younger brothers always bickering about something." Naruto just grinned again. We talked the night away and I was grateful night time was always hell for me. The next day we had breakfast before running to the Hokage's. I see the others waiting for us and I smile at them. "I see your making friends already Maxis I'm glad." I nod to Hiruzen then giggled when I saw Naruto rubbing his head. "Kakashi told me you showed a surprising amount of speed and strength." I nod. "I didn't mean to hit him so hard, but I've never been able to completely hold back. Back in my clan's homeland I cracked a boulder in half that was supposedly unbreakable. We would use the boulder to dull our nerves in our limbs." I giggle at the memory before noticing the others looking at me shocked. "What kind of training did you go through?" I look at Kakashi. "The normal kind?" Hiruzen cleared his throat and started talking about missions we could do. We finished multiple chores over the course of the day when we got back to Hiruzen's Naruto was annoyed. I could also sense the other two Genin on my team were also annoyed. I didn't mind I was having fun. Naruto managed to annoy Hiruzen into giving us a C Rank mission. We were to escorts a bridge builder back home. I didn't like the stench of alcohol that was coming from him. After the bridge builder insulted Naruto, who tried to attack him, we went to get ready. I was waiting at the gate for the others when I see Sasuke arrive first. He looked at me and instead of standing off on his own Sasuke actually stood next to me. "How strong are you?" I look at him. "I was next in line as leader of my clan so I had to grow strong enough to protect and guide them." Sasuke looked at me. "Are you excited to be leaving the village?" He just stared off into the distance. "I use to always want to leave my homeland when I was younger. The forests and mountains were so beautiful." I knew I told Naruto I didn't want to live in the past anymore but I couldn't help it. I must've sniffled or something cause I heard Sasuke cough and when I looked at him I saw Itachi looking at me in concern. "I'll be ok Sasuke. Just remembering my family a little." Sasuke looked at me. "Did you lose them as well?" I nod. "After I was chosen as my friend's summoner we were attacked by masked people. It happened during the party and so none of the adults were prepared. Shortly afterwards I was rescued by a person and I don't remember much besides trying to figure out why my family had to die." Sasuke looked at me with sad eyes but I just shake my head. "Sorry you don't need to be bored by me." I smile at him but I could tell he didn't buy it. I need to stop worrying people.
