Sima Wan'er glared with hatred as she declared, "I, Sima Wan'er, curse the Sima family to lose their spiritual powers for generations and become ordinary people, all at the cost of my life!"

Sima Yu's expression turned panicked. Sima Wan'er had exceptional talent, and a curse invoked at the cost of her life was something he couldn't resist. If the Sima family members became ordinary, no one would be able to break this curse!

In his moment of shock, a shadow flickered, and by the time he regained his senses, Sima Wan'er had vanished.

Sima Yu looked defeated, as if he had aged years in an instant. He never imagined things would come to this; he couldn't believe his usually obedient daughter could be so resolute. He felt his power slowly slipping away, but he was powerless to stop it.

"Hey! Who are you? How did you end up here?" A curious five-year-old girl asked the slightly older boy, looking at him with wide eyes.

The girl was adorable, with big, sparkling eyes gazing at the bloodied boy. Her small pink lips were slightly pursed in thought, making her irresistibly cute.

However, the boy only saw wariness in her gaze; he had escaped and could no longer endure the painful training.

The girl didn't seem to mind his caution and suddenly exclaimed, "Wait here!" before turning and running off.

The boy wanted to flee, fearing she would bring someone to catch him, but he had lost too much blood and couldn't muster the strength to move.

Moments later, the girl returned, carrying a pile of supplies. "Here... I'll help you apply some medicine. It might hurt, so you can't scream!"

The boy nodded, gritting his teeth and remaining silent.

The girl carefully bandaged his wounds and then asked, "What's your name?"

He hesitated for a moment before answering, "Luo Jin." After a pause, he added, "What about you?"

The girl giggled, "I'm the owner of this place! But don't worry, I won't tell my mother." She pouted and murmured, "I don't understand why my mother brings so many people here; they clearly don't want to train, yet she forces them."

Luo Jin looked at her, unsure of what to say. How could someone so innocent and pure understand his situation?

The girl continued, "Even though I don't get it, I know you can't escape. Once you're healed, just go back! There's food and water here; I'll come check on you tomorrow!"

After taking a few steps, she remembered something and returned. "I'll set up a simple illusion for you; as long as you don't run into a master, you won't be found."

"Sister, where have you been?"

The girl was stopped in the garden by another girl who looked exactly like her.

"Xuanxuan? I didn't go anywhere! I was just playing in the garden for a bit."

"You're lying! You have blood on you!"

Yun Fengqing glanced at the blood on her white dress and frowned; it must have gotten there while she was helping Luo Jin.

Yun Xuan tugged at her, shaking her head. "Sister, tell me! If you don't, I'll tell mother!"

Yun Fengqing sighed, "Alright! I'll tell you, but you have to promise not to tell mother!"

Yun Xuan eagerly nodded. "What happened?"

"I saw an injured boy and helped him."

Yun Xuan frowned. "You helped someone injured? What if he's a bad person? What's his name? Take me to see him!"

"He said his name is Luo Jin. Don't worry; he's not a bad person! Bad people can't come here; he must have escaped from the training base."

"Then we should tell mother so she can punish him!"

"Xuanxuan!" Yun Fengqing frowned, wanting to protest but was interrupted.

"Ladies, the master wants to see you in the study!"

"Oh! Sister, hurry! Otherwise, mother will be angry." Yun Xuan pulled Yun Fengqing along as they ran.

In the study, a handsome man frowned as he looked at the beautiful but serious woman behind the desk. "Lingling, do you really want to do this? If it fails, Fengqing and Xuanxuan could lose their lives. Even if it succeeds, Xuanxuan will become an ordinary person. That's not fair to her!" This man was Yun Fengqing and Yun Xuan's father, Yun Yi, the leader of Yunmen.

Shangguan Ling replied firmly, "I must do this for the sake of the Shangguan family!"

Yun Yi shook his head in disagreement. "Fengqing and Xuanxuan are both talented; they don't need to go to such lengths."

Shangguan Ling wouldn't listen to him, stubbornly insisting, "Even though they're capable, it's still not enough! If I can transfer Xuanxuan's abilities to Fengqing, she will lead the Shangguan family to new heights."

After much consideration, she chose Yun Fengqing, believing that despite their young age, small details indicated that Yun Fengqing was better suited to lead the Shangguan family.

"But you said there's only a sixty percent chance!"

"Even so, I must try!"

Knock, knock... The sound of knocking interrupted their heated discussion.

"Come in!"

Yun Xuan pulled Yun Fengqing into the study, obediently asking, "Did mother call us for something?" She felt a bit intimidated by her mother but did her best to act like a good daughter.

Shangguan Ling opened a hidden door behind the bookshelf and said, "Come with me!"

Yun Yi couldn't help but interject, "Lingling..."

Shangguan Ling frowned, "I've already made my decision; there's no need for you to persuade me anymore!"

Yun Yi sighed, knowing that once Shangguan Ling made up her mind, she wouldn't listen to anyone. He glanced at Yun Xuan, his eyes filled with concern.

Yun Fengqing had remained silent, but upon seeing Yun Yi's expression, she frowned, unable to guess what would happen next.
