Gong Jue Shang stood by the bed, elegantly smoothing out his slightly wrinkled clothes, and smiled warmly, "Since the Princess has said that, if I were to care, it would just make me seem petty." He wasn't concerned about such superficial niceties at all.

The two maintained an outward friendliness, but there was an underlying tension, as if everything that had happened last night and moments ago had never occurred.

After Gong Jue Shang left, Yun Su hesitated, looking at Shangguan Mo. After a long pause, Shangguan Mo finally sighed and shook her head with a smile, "If you have something to say, just say it!"

Yun Su hesitantly asked, "Um... Miss, about you and the Ghost King..."

Shangguan Mo casually replied, "I was just drunk." She felt a bit disoriented; how long had it been since she had been truly drunk? No, she realized she had never really let herself get drunk. She always kept herself at least somewhat sober!

Shangguan Mo sighed, relieved that Gong Jue Shang hadn't taken advantage of her drunkenness. Otherwise, when she arrived in the Underworld, and her grandfather asked how she died, she wouldn't have known how to respond.

"Then... you two..."

Shangguan Mo said lightly, "Yun Su, I am now his princess!" If she claimed nothing had happened between her and Gong Jue Shang, Yun Su would still think that being alone with a man meant she had lost out somehow, so this was the best answer.

However, this didn't stop Yun Su from asking further. While helping her comb her hair, she looked at their reflection in the mirror and asked, "Miss, do you like the Ghost King?"

Shangguan Mo felt a bit of a headache, but she understood Yun Su was concerned for her. With a sigh, she replied, "Yun Su, I know my limits." Hearing this, Yun Su stopped probing further.

After breakfast, Yun Su finally got to the main topic. "Miss, in half a month, the Rakshasa Palace is inviting people from the underworld to gather at the Blue Lake Tavern." As she spoke, she handed over an invitation.

Yun Su was now the deputy leader of the Yun Sect, and with Ouyang Lin supporting her, Shangguan Mo felt reassured.

Taking the invitation, Shangguan Mo glanced at it casually before tossing it onto the table, asking, "Have all the underworld figures been invited?"

"Yes, the Ghost Gate is also included."

This had made Ouyang Lin furious; he probably never imagined that his Demon-Slaying Sect would one day be invited to an underworld gathering!

Shangguan Mo thought for a moment and said, "Prepare for it; we'll set off in five days!" The sudden invitation to gather the underworld figures felt suspiciously connected to the Yun Sect, especially since the Yun Sect had taken the position that rightfully belonged to them.

Yun Su was thinking about how to comfort Ouyang Lin later and said, "Miss, this isn't just a one-night outing; what about the Ghost King?"

Shangguan Mo took a sip of tea and pondered, "Just say the prince is unwell, and as his princess, I need to go to Qingyin Temple to pray for him!"

Yun Su frowned. "Will the Ghost King believe that?" The Ghost King seemed quite sharp, and such a flimsy excuse could easily be uncovered with a little investigation.

Suddenly, Yun Su thought of something and widened her eyes. Wait! Hadn't the Ghost King already revealed his feigned illness to the miss? Wouldn't that make this excuse blatantly fabricated?

Shangguan Mo calmly replied, "This is just to distract others' attention. We don't need to worry about Gong Jue Shang!" Let him be suspicious; after all, Gong Jue Shang had never seen her as a kind and harmless person.

Yun Su frowned, contemplating Shangguan Mo's words. Who did she mean by "others"? Before she could figure it out, she heard Shangguan Mo say, "Go ask Gong Jue Shang for twenty people, telling him I want to focus on praying for him and that no one is allowed to disturb me!"

In fact, if she disappeared directly from the palace, no one else would know. This was just a precaution in case someone with ulterior motives looked for her and found her missing, which could cause some trouble.

Yun Su twitched her lips. Did the miss want to boldly have the Ghost King provide them cover? If no one was allowed to disturb her, naturally, no one would discover the miss was gone, but wouldn't the Ghost King know everything?

Seeing the puzzled look on Yun Su's face, Shangguan Mo kindly explained, "There are quite a few people watching me and Gong Jue Shang right now. I don't want them causing me trouble for the time being. There are many capable people in the Ghost King's residence, wandering around aimlessly; it's better to borrow them for my use."

As the Ghost King's princess, going to pray while being protected by the palace guards was perfectly normal. But if she used her own people, wouldn't that be like directly telling those who were keeping an eye on her, "I have a problem!"?

"But... will the Ghost King agree?" Yun Su expressed her doubts. She felt that since following the miss, her mind had become increasingly muddled, and she could never quite grasp what the miss was thinking.

Shangguan Mo smiled lightly. "We'll find out if we try."

When Yun Su approached Gong Jue Shang with a tentative attitude to discuss this matter, he only considered it for a moment before agreeing without asking any questions, which surprised Yun Su greatly. Perhaps her miss really could foresee the future!

As for Jing Moxun and Gu Yihan, who were both confused, Gong Jue Shang completely ignored them.

Once again, it was the middle of the night, dark and windy. Feeling an extra presence in the room, Shangguan Mo slowly sat up, flicked her finger, and the lamp on the table lit up.

Looking at the old man in green who had appeared in the room, Shangguan Mo smiled and said, "Is there something you need?"

Yi Ziyuan frowned, scrutinizing Shangguan Mo as if making some kind of evaluation.

Shangguan Mo maintained a gentle smile as she allowed him to observe her. Suddenly, Yi Ziyuan swiftly appeared at the bedside, his right hand clawing towards Shangguan Mo, but it stopped just a few centimeters away from her, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get any closer.

Feeling the cold aura radiating from Yi Ziyuan, shock appeared in his eyes. "You can actually communicate with spirits! What is your relationship with the Sima family?"

Shangguan Mo raised an eyebrow and softly replied, "Go back and rest!" At that moment, Yi Ziyuan felt the binding force on him suddenly vanish, and the small purple gourd by Shangguan Mo's pillow closed its lid on its own.

Yi Ziyuan looked at Shangguan Mo with a guarded expression. While there were those who could manipulate souls, he knew of only one. The Sima family had once produced a genius who could communicate with and control souls; apart from that person, no one else could reach such a level. Even those with great talent could only predict things more accurately.
