Katsuki POV

He finished questioning me and ordered me to give him my blades. I told him that he's threatening me, because he is, right?

'It's the only way i'll leave. give them.' he argued back, while putting out his hand in order for me to give him the blades. And i'm in no state of fighting back anymore, so I give them all except one. Because does he think i'm that stupid? I can't live without it at the moment.

He left the dorms after ten minutes and I fell asleep on the couch in the common area. That talk was so tiring for no reason at all.

Flashback - a year and a half back.

Third person POV

Katsuki and Izuku are in a room. To be specifically, an emergency room at the Musutafu Hospital. Izuku's attempt worked. Well, almost. He's just waiting to die, because there is not a single solution to save him. There is a beeping sound in the background, which is the monitoring equipment that tracks Izuku's vital signs. Heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen levels.

Katsuki is freaking out. Izuku is in pain. Inko and Mitsuki are outside and Mitsuki is trying to calm down her friend. The freckled boy couldn't take any painkillers because that would increase the pain. The doctors told Izuku and all the other people who cared about him that he has around 2 to 4 hours left.

'It's funny that you're here with me, Kacchan..' Izuku joked. It hurts for him to talk. 'You're not gonna die, right..!?' Katsuki begged. The green haired boy replies 'I'm probably gonna.. the doctors said that there was nothing they could do. My stomach hurts so much.. I think my liver is gonna explode..' He makes an explosion motion with hind hand. The blond haired boy asks 'Shouldn't you try to puke it out or something..?' his voice shakes. 'It's been like 8 hours, Kacchan.. the inside is all affected. Even surgery won't help.' the younger boy implied.

Katsuki then questioned why he would let his mom go through this. Izuku told him that she's been his reason for staying for way too long. And it didn't help.

Tears start filling in the ruby eyes, he covers his mouth with his hand, trying to suppress a cry. 'Don't cry Kacchan.. it'll be okay-' he suddenly stops talking, clutching his stomach in agony. 'ow, ow, ow..' Izuku moans. Katsuki's lips tremble, overwhelmed by emotions.

'Ah.. I think i'm gonna be gone sooner than expected.. haha..' Izuku says, trying to joke about it. Instantly regretting it because he saw a tear falling off of Katsuki's chin. 'Please promise me you'll never do this..' Izuku asked. 'Ask me tomorrow, then i'll promise.' Katsuki barked back, trying to show his dying friend that he's mad about the decision he made. Maybe somehow he won't go. 'You know where i'll be tomorrow, I can't.' Izuku says, while adding 'please.. please promise me, kacchan..'

You'll be hearing Katsuki's unsteady sobs by now. Oh, he's crying. And the strong, unstoppable Katsuki Bakugou never cries, right?

Katsuki tries to stop his tears from streaming down his face. And izuku clutches his stomach to try and make the pain less. He exhales. Maybe that is his last sigh. Izuku pleads 'Kacchan.. please get a doctor for me..' Katsuki's eyes widens knowing what might happen next. He jumps off the bed and demands 'Don't you f*cking die. Stay with me. Don't go.' Izuku smiles as Katsuki turns. Izuku's smile fades remembering one more thing to say to his best friend.

'You know it's.. not your fault, right..?'

Katsuki stays quiet. Looking back but not directly at Izuku's face.

'Stay in there, Izuku. You'll be okay.' Katsuki says while walking to the door to exit the room he's in to find a doctor, but then..

He hears a ringing that isn't stopping. He freezes in his place. He takes a sharp inhale. Knowing what just happened behind him.

Izuku's dead.

Katsuki runs out of the room begging for someone to save Izuku.

Izuku is dead.

Katsuki starts shaking so drastically, he feels like he's gonna puke.

He's dead.

Two doctors rush into the emergency room, trying to find a way to save the fourteen year old boy. Katsuki can't look. He bumps against a wall and slides down to the ground. Outside, in the hall, not being there for Izuku. Black spots cover his eyes. He's feeling light headed.

His best friend-

Katsuki's mom sees her son on the ground. She runs up to him and embraces him.
Katsuki doesn't move. Inko runs into the room where her only child is. Inko screams.

-is dead.

Thoughts filled the fifteen year olds mind.

What is he gonna do now?

It's his fault.

He's dead.

He couldn't say how sorry he was.

He didn't want it to end like this.

He doesn't remember his actual laugh.

The one that looked up to him, even though he broke him.

Izuku's gone forever.

Never seeing his smile ever again.

Never.

Again.
