Third person POV
11.52 PMMitsuki is anxious. Really anxious. It's almost new year and her son still hasn't come home yet. She's in the living room, sitting on the couch, her husband is trying to calm her down. She has been tapping her feet on the ground for a few minutes now, non stop. The other family members are outside, except for Inko, she's in the kitchen making a cup of tea for her best friend.
'Should we file a missing person's report?' she asks Masaru anxiously while looking up at him. 'We could,' the other replies. 'Oh... I am so scared.' Mitsuki whines. 'What if he- he wasn't acting any different from when he normally does- right? He- wouldn't just leave, right..?' she continues. 'We'll go look for him again after midnight, okay? I am so sure he's safe. Believe in it, honey.' the other says while going in for a hug. They hug for a while, Mitsuki calmed down a bit. 'Yeah.. he's strong. He has to be safe. He's our son after all.' she chuckles. Masaru smiles warmly back.
Midnight - first of January
They both went out and look for Katsuki for an hour and a half. They couldn't find him so they went to the police station. They filed a missing person report and two cops went out and looked for him. The police station recommended that Mitsuki and Masaru would stay home and wait for him, because he may go back home. All the guests have left by now.
So they did. It was already two forty five AM when they arrived at home. They then waited on the couch for him. They both took turns of staying up because they were both tired and it was night. Every hour they would switch.
Katsuki didn't show up.
At six o'clock, Masaru got a phone call from the station. They told him that they haven't found him yet. He got an ache in his heart hearing it. Mitsuki was sleeping at that time, so she didn't get the information yet.
An half an hour later, Masaru woke up his wife. Telling her that he isn't found yet. Mitsuki let out a shaky sigh, but then remembering that her son is strong and that he is safe. Don't give up on hope. Never.
They both had breakfast and got dressed to go look for their son, but before that, they went to the police station to talk to them eye to eye. The police told them ways to stay calm and find him.
'Don't keep on screaming his name, if he is a run away, he would just hide.'
'Don't lose hope. If you feel like he's gone, tell yourself that he isn't. He is out there somewhere, just don't know where.'
'Ask around the neighborhood if they have seen him or someone that looks familiar to him.'
The parents left the station and went around the neighborhood looking for him and asking people if they have seen him. They went into coffee shops, grocery stores, clothing stores, the park, the graveyard, everywhere they would think they could find him.
It's already past eight PM and they still haven't found him. They are both sitting on a bench in the park. But then, Masaru gets a notification from the bank.
It says that Katsuki bought something from the grocery store for a dollar. The brunette immediately shows Mitsuki and their hope goes up. They stand up and quickly go to the grocery store.
When they arrive, they walk in and ask around if they have seen a blond boy with spikey hair. No one did, because he was wearing his hood over his head. The parents look at eachother worried and look around the store to see if he might be in there. He isn't so they leave again. As they leave, the blond gets a phone call from Inko. Mitsuki picks up.
'Hi, Mitsuki, have you found him yet?' The greenette asks. 'Sadly not.. but we do know that he's alive.' the blond informs. 'Ah, i'm so, so glad. Anyways, i'm going out right now, to go on a walk and look for him, so could you describe to me what he was wearing when he left?' the other asks. Mitsuki is so glad that her best friend is doing better after her son's death. Inko lost a ton of weight after he left. 'He had a dark blue jacket on, he might be wearing his hood. And he was wearing his gray sweats and red shoes.' the blond informs her best friend. 'Ah, okay. I'll go and look now,' the other replies. 'Okay, thank you so much. Stay safe!' Mitsuki says. 'You too! Byebye!!' Inko says while hanging up, grabbing her light orange coat.
'Inko is gonna go and look for him aswell,' The blond informs her husband. 'Ah, i'm grateful. I'm also so glad she's healing from his death..' the other replies. Mitsuki agrees softly.
They kept on walking around the town for the next two hours, till they went back home. They took turns again with staying up. They both slept better, knowing Katsuki may still being alive and okay.
Katsuki POV - thirty-first of December
I can't do it. I know i'll survive this stupid jump. I'm a p*ssy. F*cking moron. I sit back down while getting another phone call from mom. I let it ring. I can't bring myself to go home yet. My body won't let me call them back and tell them i'm okay and safe. My brain is telling me that they'll get mad at me for making them worry, even though they're probably already really worried.
There is a bench under a roof, on here. I go sit on it and scroll through my phone. I turn on not disturb, because my parents keep on calling me. Just leave me alone, please.
Not knowingly, I fall asleep and sleep through the whole night. I had a dream where I died. I saw my dead body laying on a hospital bed, my mom crying, dad hugging her, while crying. Izuku being there. He isn't looking at my corpse, he's looking directly at me, with somber eyes. He mouthed 'Why did you do it..' I don't really remember what happened after though.
In the morning, I stay up there, because I have nothing else to do. It's vacation, no one is at school. I miss Izuku. I wish I just jumped. I could do it right now, but my body won't let me and my brain is telling me it's not worth it to do it when the sun shines.
I stay here for hours. Luckily, I brought my phone charging with me. My phone would've been dead for a long time now. It's seven fifty right now and I am starving. So, I stand up, put on my hood and go off the rooftop and go to a nearby grocery store.
I buy a bottle of water for one dollar and leave the store as quick as possible. I just wanna go back to the rooftop, so that I won't be seen and get brought home. The constant calling from my parents slowed down by now, but they do keep on calling every hour.
After a few minutes of walking, I open my water bottle and take a sip. As I take the bottle from my lips, I see on the other side of the street my parents rush by. Oh sh*t. They probably got a notification of me buying something from the grocery store. I wanna call them out. But I physically can't. I'm not ready. I hate myself.
I wanted to go and visit Izuku's grave, but i'm scared that someone would be waiting for me over there. I shouldn't go to places where I normally go. When I arrive back at the school, I go to the rooftop and lay down on the bench. I am so tired, I immediately fall asleep. I'm lucky that it hasn't rained the past few days i've been out. I hate the rain. Izuku's funeral was in the rain.
