They say the shadows dance,
They move their feet with ours.
They hide away with the sun,
The time is their biggest curse. They say the shadows cradle grace,
Making us believe in uncertainty.
Veiling creatures in their embrace,
A place where hope flickers and screams. They said the shadows dance in light,
But mine pulls me away from my bed
In the darkest of nights.
They claimed that shadows are not real,
But I can hear them humming in my mind.
They said the shadows follow our lead,
So why, to my shadow's words am I confined?Their whispers tremble in my mind,
As they sway me into a moonless night.
As the clock ticks by a broken melody,
My darkness never lit up with clarity .
