The news came crashing down, sending shivers down Jae-Yoon's spine who simply lost balance and fell to the floor, his eyes blankly fixed in front of him. He was in a state of shock and couldn't wrap himself around what he had been just told.

Maybe they just share the same name ? It's not uncommon to be named like that in South Korea, is it ?

Every bit counted. Jae-Yoon needed to rationalize this situation to the best of his abilities but was he able to deny the truth ? Because at closer look, he felt dumb to not have recognised the person he knew ever since he was born. He just laughed at himself and strengthened his person up, not wanting to get discouraged.

"Welcome back, I guess."

He only said this in a monotone tone before leaving him behind, not wanting to talk to him anymore. He wasn't sure why but feared the reason why Sang-Hyun came back. He didn't want to relive what had happened to him during their first year of High School which caused their fall out.

And thinking about everything that occurred just now. From the kiss, to what he did in the bathroom, he never wanted to disappear more than at that very moment. He felt worse than he did after jerking off. To think it was to his ex best friend too ? He could only curse himself and his damned bad memory.

But to be fair, Sang-Hyun changed a lot. From getting taller, slightly more buff, going through puberty and even getting his eyebrow pierced, he sure wasn't the same boy that he had known since he was a kid. Sang-Hyun always was the more handsome of them both and time only offered him a chance to enhance that beauty of his. Jae-Yoon even mixed him up with a foreigner.

But there were signs all along. A face changes but not to some extent, even his under mole, below his eye which eyebrow was pierced should've been a dead give away but somehow, Jae-Yoon missed it. Or was it on purpose ? Did he want to ignore the truth all along ? Refusing to believe that the phantom of his past came back to haunt him down yet again. Was he that desperate for a sense of security and happiness ? Was he wishing to forget all of those years spent alongside him ?

All that he knew was that he didn't want to meet him ever again, even by accident.

He never forgave him for what he did and his sudden change of character and he swore to never do. He lived a horrendous year, not only because his heart was broken one too many times but because the one who inflicted those mischievous knife stabs was no one other than the person he would have never suspected in his whole lifetime worth of nothingness and he just wanted.. No, he needed to move on.

So he loathed him to no end and swore to always do.

Having nothing planned for the rest of the day, the idea of visiting Woo-Sung with some congee seemed as if it was a must. And so he did just that.

He was standing in front of Woo-Sung house, after dropping by the convenient store to buy him some vitamin's drink too.

He wanted to press the doorbell but was rather distracted by his many strange interactions that had happened since he left the university. From the strange looks people gave him to the faint giggles destined to him that he could hear. Was there something funny about him ? He started to become self-conscious and was thinking that maybe he had something on his face.

All of these thoughts made him tremble quite a bit, not liking being mocked or ridiculed.

Yes, Jae-Yoon always aimed to become famous. A renowned actor with all the glory, fame and love that the world had to offer and he knew deep down the price that he would've to pay; The constant malevolent attention, the malice of humankind, the gossips, the hatred and his utmost fear; judgment. But how could he stay stoic when he doesn't even know why nor what everyone is talking about. Maybe he was just ugly and people didn't like him ?
