Sitting in his first class, Jae-Yoon, who was wearing a mask, gave the impression that he wasn't able to concentrate at all. He spaced out a lot, his head throbbing. He couldn't even hear or see correctly what was said and written. The only thing he could feel was the excruciating pain inside of him that didn't seem to go away but instead worsen as the time went by. In the end, he didn't know when he passed out but he did.He suddenly sensed something cold pressing down on his face and when he leapt up from his unexpected long sleep, he was shocked but not surprised to see the root of his problem sitting beside him, a can of his favorite cold drink in hands.
"Hello ! Are you sick ?"
Sang-Hyun opened that said can before giving it to Jae-Yoon who didn't respond to him. He, then, placed a hand on his forehead, seemingly checking for something.
"You're running a fever."
He calmly stated. The way he acted differently from what Jae-Yoon was used to ever since their fall out confused the young lad who just turned his gaze away, taking a sip of the drink he had just given him after removing his mask.
"I know... And thank you... F-For the can, I meant."
Why was Jae-Yoon suddenly stuttering ? Maybe it was normal since it has been a moment since these two had a normal conversation that didn't involve Sang-Hyun pissing him off and getting on his nerves.
"See ? You can be polite. That's the Jae-Yoon I know. If only you hadn't run away like a thief yesterday and actually appreciated my devotion to keep you from falling ill."
Sang-Hyun laughed slightly, his sarcastic ways never leaving him before messing his ex best friend's hair out of the blue. And here, what Jae-Yoon originally thought was short lived, tossed in a garbage bin by the trash itself. Sang-Hyun started once again, bugging and pestering him.
He was about to snap back at him but what the pierced man said left him speechless :
"I wanted to apologize for everything that had happened during our first high school year. I don't have a good explanation for what I've done but I... Anyhow. Forget about it. Go home and rest, a sick person shouldn't be here"
Sang-Hyun stood up rapidly, looking embarrassed a bit. He was about to leave but Jae-Yoon, not knowing why, suddenly grabbed his sleeve, forcing him to sit back down.
"You know that you hurt me a lot...? Not understanding why you would do such things and... Abandon me the way you did."
"I didn't-"
Sang-Hyun was going to reply but when he saw the sadness in Jae-Yoon's eyes, he stopped right in his tracks and simply started nibbling on his lower lip while facing the other way. He whispered almost inaudibly :
"I'm sorry..."
He suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder and upon close look, he realized that Jae-Yoon had fallen asleep once again but this time, he was all over him, defenseless like a sheep in the wolf's deen who surrendered by themselves.
Sang-Hyun, despite his conflicted feelings, couldn't help a smile from appearing on his face before delicately caressing his cheek.
They stayed there a moment, one of them contemplating the other who had passed out. At the end, Sang-Hyun took the matter at hand and took Jae-Yoon back to his dorm, carrying him on his back. Thankfully for him, the little one didn't weigh a lot and more importantly, didn't have a roommate. The dormitory wasn't even that far anyway.
After dropping him, he went out to buy his good old friend some food and medicine before coming back to be at his bedside, caretaking for his sake.
"Here, Jae-Yoon, take this."
Jae-Yoon, who was half awake couldn't move a bit and only so slightly groaned for him to let him sleep. Sang-Hyun sighed, thinking for a good moment about what to do.
He put the medicine in his mouth, force opened his ex friend's and pushed roughly his tongue down Jae-Yoon's throat for him to drop the remedy in there.
Jae-Yoon slightly moaned when he felt the moisturizer lips on his, the tongues mixing and dancing together and the heat that emanated from Sang-Hyun's body who was above his own person. He clenched the pierced man's clothes, tightening his grip on them and crumpling them under his little touch.
Sang-Hyun pinned the unconscious Jae-Yoon's arms above his head to stop him from behaving like this. He didn't want for both of them to feel some type of way, he only wanted to help him, truly and sincerely but his brain only thought of this as a manner to do so and looking back at it, it wasn't a great idea. It was indeed a torture he had to live.
The worst part of it all is that he had to repeat the same process to make him drink the water needed for him to swallow the pill he had just given him. He mentally prepared himself to go at it again, which he finally did after a slight moment of hesitation and a deep breath.
Jae-Yoon moaned once more at the drop of the liquid inside of him. A liquid he felt himself forced to take in. The entirety, all in one go.
Sang-Hyun was ready to pull off, feeling uneasy but he sensed a draw towards his childhood best friend who deepened their so-called kiss, clinging onto him, as if he was asking for more whilst being scared of letting go.
The pierced man tried to push Jae-Yoon away to the best of his mere abilities but he just gave up altogether, feeling too weak to do so and for some reasons, this little man beneath his person was showing a strength he never once had or maybe Sang-Hyun was simply finding excuses to make his actions sound okay even though they didn't at all.
It took him a while before he could rationalize himself and simply put an end to this kiss who started to become steamy the more it went on. He didn't trust himself and wasn't sure of what could happen if they had continued, not to add to the fact that Jae-Yoon was ill and barely conscious at that which made Sang-Hyun feel sick to his stomach for being such a bad person and taking advantage of someone in a state like this.
He suddenly heard cries coming from underneath him, an a broken raspy voice came through, crashing down into his reality with all the sorrows that it held close to its core, to its heart :
"Are you gonna leave me again...? Are you gonna abandon me ? You're supposed to be my best friend, mine... Not my sister's future husband so why did you join her in London...? I know I said I hated you and you deserved it for the heck of a year I lived because of you. You, out of blue, started to ignore me and even went as far as to date my crushes... It hurt me so much... So, so, so much so that- You didn't have the right to leave me behind... All alone... Sang-Hyun... Mine... You didn't have the right to... Not when-"
Jae-Yoon didn't finish what he had begun to say and sometimes mumbled incoherent things while choking on his sobs.
"Not when what...? So much so that what...? Jae-Yoon ! What happened ? Jae-Yoon !"
The abrupt stop was due to the fact that he had passed out once again, leaving Sang-Hyun confused and feeling uneasy. He didn't know what had happened to him, or at least, he had an idea but wasn't sure he was talking about it. He started to imagine all sorts of things, building up an anger in his person that he couldn't explain. An anger that scared even him.
But the view in front of him helped him calm down in an unexpected way. He stupidly smiled while caressing Jae-Yoon's wrist. He didn't realize, because of the oversized clothes he wore daily, that he was still wearing the bracelet he once gave him as a gift to celebrate his birthday. He had the same one but sadly, he couldn't wear it anymore.
Thinking back at the reason why, he shivered in fear. He, then, decided to get in bed, next to him, removing the glasses Jae-Yoon had been wearing today which kind of were in the way when they were kissing just a moment ago.
He had put them on his nightstand before Sang-Hyun brought Jae-Yoon to himself, pressing his body against his own and caressing his long silver hair, slightly sniffing the odor that emanated from there which appeased him greatly. A piece of mind much needed.
At the end, he closed his eyes, heart beating out loud before discreetly whispering :
"I'm back for good... I'm really back..."
A whisper that caused Jae-Yoon to wiggle a bit, surely because this gesture tickled him. Sang-Hyun only smiled slightly before he, too, could join him in his dreams, imported by Morpheus himself, in his arms.
