You stayed quiet for a few days, you needed to while you gathered materials after all. But you also enjoyed the thought that every day that passed without an incident caused by you was a day of added stress for the Duke.

The shipments you had been expecting arrived in the early morning and you were one of the first there once everything had finished being unloaded.

You only had a small window to find and take what you needed and get out before the guards arrived. You couldn't be caught too early as that would ruin it.

You sifted quietly through the boxes, spending just enough time at each one to determine if the contents were necessary to you.

Bingo.

The fourth crate you checked contained the replacement clockwork parts you are been looking for. The parts only arrived once every few months as the Gardemeks didn't break down that often.

You pulled a few pieces from the crate, shoving the ones you needed into your pocket quickly. Your finger tips brushed something that didn't feel like a clock work part, at least not one you were familiar with.

You pushed the pieces aside, digging slightly to find the item you had just touched. A revolver?

As you were about to fish it out a hand placed itself on your shoulder "you really shouldn't poke your nose in other peoples business"

You jumped away from the owner of the hand, turning to see who was there "Dougier? what's going on?"

He removed the revolver from the crate, turning it over in his hands before he hid it in his belt "I shouldn't have to warn you what will happen to you if you tell a certain Duke, do I?"

You scoffed "what? you'll shoot me? you think that scares me?"

He considered this for a moment "no, you're right, shooting you wouldn't benefit me, but how about if I shot, say, Deakin? or maybe Avice? or-"

"Alright" you cut him off "I get it. What do you want?"

"Keep your month shut, you didn't see me here, you didn't see this" he patted his pocket that now held the revolver "and I won't hurt any of your friends"

"Fine, fine" you said, before carefully adding "you didn't see me, either, right?"

A smile grew on his lips "oh, that'll cost extra" the sound of the guards approached started echoing down the hallway. You were out of time.

"Cut the crap, Dougier, what do you want?" you hissed, voice low to avoid attracting the guards.

"I'll leave a note in your welfare meal. Until then-" he motioned with his finger pressed against his lip before he started off in the other direction, disappearing into the darkness before he was spotted.

You did the same.

You kicked the wall on your return to the dormitories, frustrated at Dougiers appearance and schemes that you'd now been dragged into keeping silent for the good of your inmate friends.

And now, you had found yourself half indebtted to him, he was able to contact Wriothesley easily due to his setting up of the Beret Society so if he wanted to he could ruin your revenge prank plans before you had even started them.

It's not like stealing clock work parts was allowed, exactly.

You let out a small huff of annoyance as you punched at the wall, before running your hand through your hair.

"I see you're in a good mood this morning" you jumped slightly at his voice, spinning around to face Wriothesley who stood a few steps away from you, though his tone had been sarcastic his expression held some concern "everything alright?"
