The Hybrid Swan

Chapter One

Anastasia's POV:

I wake up and everything is so much brighter... clearer. Every emotion I was feeling was enhanced. I got up from the table and when I looked at myself I looked different. My hair was softer and silker, my skin was smoother and my eyes were brown with a hint of ruby red. I noticed I was in different clothes, Gloria must have changed me.

I walked out of the room and into the front where I see Nik playing with a small child. Nik looked up at me and smiled. He walked over to me with the child in his hands.

"Evelyn this is your mommy." Nik said. I was shocked. She looked a year old.. How was this even possible?

"How long was I out for?" I asked. 

"Almost a week, Gloria tested your blood. Your a hybrid, love." Nik said.

"What?" I said as my daughter reaches for me. I take her from Nik with a smile on my face.

"Your half Cold One, half Nightwalker. Gloria discovered Evelyn's gift. She can take any supernatural creature's gift and either give it to a person or give it to herself, that includes Cold One's gifts. She must have sensed you were dying and turned you into a Cold One while I was feeling you my blood. Thus you became a hybrid." Nik said to me.

"You need to complete your transition since your half Nightwalker love." Nik said to me. Nik then had a compelled human on stand by waiting for me. Gloria takes Evelyn out of the room. Nik then taught me how to properly feed and compel someone.

"Wait... its daylight out. How can I walk in the sunlight?" I asked.

"It must be your Cold One side." Nik said.

"Question is do you sparkle like them?" He asked himself. So, I step further into the sunlight to test the theory and turns out I don't. A smile formed on my face, but it was soon gone when my phone rang. I looked at who it was and it was Alice. I looked at Nik.

"You can't ignore them forever, love." He said. And he's right.. I can't. So I answer it.. lets hope I don't regret it.

Alice: Thank god! I had a vision that you died please tell me your alright.

Anastasia: Yes Alice, I'm alright.

Alice: Thank god.

Anastasia: But that's not all you saw.. was it.

Alice: I haven't told them.. but its eating me up Ana. I don't think I can keep this a secret for long. Edward keeps trying to read my thoughts and I can only block him for so long.

Anastasia: *Sighs* Tell them.. but not Edward. I want to tell him in person. If he find out on his own I won't blame you. I'll be there as soon as I can. I need to adjust to the vampire life first.

Alice: Okay, Edward's out with Bella. See you soon Ana.

The phone call ends and I look at Nik.

"I never wanted him to find out." I tell him.

"But she sees the future doesn't see." He asked and I nod.

"She saw me dies so she must have seen Evelyn." I said.

Rosalie's POV:

We were all confused as to why Alice called for a family meeting without Edward. We all sit in the living room watching Alice pace back and forth.

"Alice is everything alright?" Esme asked.

"I had a vision about Ana." She said making me instantly worry.

"What did you see Alice?" I asked.

"Well... how do I say this." She said.
