Changes

"Whats happening!?" Winnie pulled at Fives sleeves, listening to the crash and bang of a fight.

"Diego, dearest." Five finally sighed. "He's begun attacking Hazel."

Five turned to look at the beautiful girl, awaiting to see her reaction. Would she jump up and stop the fight- appeal to Diego's morality? Would she ask Five to stop it himself, as he was willing to do whatever she asked?

But Winnie just sipped her drink.

"You did a great job with the ice ratio." She told him, and Five grinned. He loved her.

He turned back to the fight and watched as Diego kick flipped, spun, and stabbed Hazel in the leg. Five winced, but Hazel just removed the knife and threw a hard left hook into Diego's neck that had him choking for a second.

"You know, before you kill him, you might want to find out why he's here." Five suggested, only to see Diego release a series of illegal rabbit punches into Hazels ribs. "Or... not."

Hazel reached around Diego, leveraging is superior size, and picked him up from the floor in a bone breaking squeeze. Before he could squeeze though, the former Umbrella Academy hero went really illegal. He started gnawing on Hazels ear.

"Oh, hold my drink dear. Diegos biting Hazel." Five handed off his drink, and Winnie happily added his straw to her mouth as well; sipping along and stealing some of his drink.

Five left his seated position, stepped through space in a blur of blue, and arrived on the otherside of the fight; climbing up the couch. He casually grabbed an expensive vase, and smashed it into the back of his biting brothers head.

Winnie heard glass shattering and a body tumbling to the ground.

"What did you do?" Winnie asked around 2 straws, so it sounded more like 'vat, zid, zyou, zo?"

"Knocked Diego out with a vase, my love." Five replied. He could have lied, but why would he? Little fibs now and then when she couldn't see were in good fun- but Five enjoyed finding out however which way Winnie responded to actual events rather than a smoothed out lie.

"Five!" Winnie gasped. Everyone waited a beat for Winnie to decide her next words. She frowned and then tilted her head back and forth as she thought. She loved her brother but Diego did bite... just because she adored him, didnt mean she agreed with all his actions.

"Uh.. Put a pillow under his head at least!"

Five smiled. Hazel jumped to do as she asked and quickly snagged a throw pillow from the couch. Five lifted Diegos slumped head enough for the soft object to be slipped under.

"Hazel," The blonde sighed and held out Fives drink as the boy came to sit back down. "Whatever you have to say, make it quick please. Or when Diego wakes up, I'll ask Five to just let him kill you."

Hazel stood at attention and rattled off his cause. "I abandoned my partner, quit the commission, and came to volunteer."

"For what?" Winnie and Five asked together.

"To.." Hazel blinked awkwardly. "Stop the apocalypse?"

Five laughed, but Winnie leaned in with a bright smile.
