Frisk watched Papyrus's eyes widened. Her eyes heavily focused on the skeleton she was once very close with. How is this going to go? How is Papyrus going to respond to this information. Papyrus seemed to be in thought for a minute then he said. "OH! That's why that child looks so much like you. She is currently at my house with Sans!" He gave her such a unrecognizable expression.

"She is? I must go there. I need to be near my daughter!" Frisk told the skeleton as excitement touched her heart. As long as her daughter is unharmed and has what she needs, Frisk will be happy. Papyrus looked around a bit. Was he looking for something or someone?  Flowey then let his vines wrap around Frisk's leg. He seemed to have hidden himself behind her a bit.

"I will take you to her, I just don't understand something. Human Frisk, will you please answer the questions of the Great Papyrus?" Papyrus asked Frisk as he bend his knees so they would be eye level. Frisk's eyes widened as she stared at him. Was he going to ask her questions about why she left? She had to. She needed to get more human souls. Frisk nodded as her hands grabbed onto her shirt. Flowey made his way to Frisk's waist. She would feel his vines wrap around her. She felt slightly worried about what the yellow flower was doing. She knew that she needed to wait to ask him. Just for Papyrus to get all his questions asked.

"Why did you kill Asgore, freed the human souls, and abandoned the underground?" Papyrus asked Frisk with a straight face. Frisk's jaw dropped at the question. Her hands grabbed the clothing tighter. Flowey never told anyone what happened that day. Of course Flowey didn't, why would he?

Frisk followed Asgore to the barrier, her heart pounded in her chest. She knew a battle was coming. She experienced this all before. However if she was able to convince Asgore to let her cross the barrier and come back with a single human soul of a sick or dying human then maybe her and Sans could be together, on the surface. Just like she told him. That thought filled her soul as she tried to keep a brave face. She couldn't sat all the times she killed this monster in the past even though she was the real monster.

"Are you ready, human? Remember I am doing this for the sake of monster kind."  Asgore told Frisk with a bit of a somber tone. He gave her an apologetic look. The kind of look, that reaked of guilt and loss. This is a monster that had grea lost and made great mistakes.  He did lose his child, that Frisk found out. She nodded softly. She left a lump in her throat that would have made talking so much more difficult. Asgore then closed his eyes for a moment.

"Well Papyrus, I didn't kill Asgore." Frisk quietly informed the tall skeleton, who tilted his head in confusion to the answer to the first part of his three point question. "I was surprised by it at the time."

When Asgore's final attack hit Frisk, she was breathing heavily as saw all the fire around her. She wasn't surprised that it matched Toriel's attacks in anyway. She looked at the mountain king as he seemed to study her. Frisk gave him a soft smile, she needed to convince him. She needed to get him to let her go get that human soul. Her heart pounded as she thought of a future where her and the monster friends she made along the way to here could live on the surface.

Asgore was down on one of his knees, Frisk gave him a soft smile as she chose mercy. She can't go down that run again. Asgore's eyes widened as he stared at Frisk. She could hardly tell what he was feeling. "Human, you really chose to spare me? After everything I just did to you?" He asked softly.  Friske couldn't help but sit down on the ground.

"Because I want humans and monsters to live in peace with one another." Frisk answered simply as she placed her backpack on the ground. She took a few steps towards the goat monster. She could swear that her heart was gonna bounce right out of her chest. She was going to get the outcome she always wanted. She could finally fully express to Sans her feelings. "I believe that as the king of monsters, you could help me reach that outcome."
