Quackity POV

I woke up in a small room. It was mostly covered in Oak plank's. A soft blanked was laying on top of me. I looked a bit around before sitting up slowly. I saw a few plants standing in the corners of the room, i noticed a slight hint of lavender in the air. There also was a door and some small windows around the room. On the other side of the room was a small fireplace with a small sofa.

I still felt a bit dizzy. ' Where am i?' i asked myself, trying to sort all the memories from the previous event. First chased by hunters. They took us to a building in the human harbour, and we managed to escape from there, but the hunters were still looking for us. I've told Tarou that we should split up and..uhh se went to the forest and i went to the cliff. I thought i was saved, but they  waited for me to leave my hiding spot. Then i ran and fell... yeah, i fell down. After that, i barely remember what happened.

But then there was this boy. The boy who saved me from drowning. 'How did he save me in this time... and who was he?' I only noticed the necklace around my neck now. My gaze went down to my chest, a small dark purple crystal hung on a thin piece of leather. It was really heavy for its small size. There is something weird about this crystal.

After a while, I managed to get up. I walked around a bit before noticing the mirror that was hanging on the wall. The frame is made out of dark oak wood and has some golden details on it.
A few seconds after I looked in the mirror, my body froze. My gaze fixed on the reflection.
' W-What?! This can't be....' multiple questions entered my head. And so grew my panic.

'W-where a-are my...wings?!!' Tears started to build up.
I tried to shake it off. But everything I looked in the mirror, I didn't see my wings. But it feels like there here. This doesn't make any sense.

All of a sudden, I heard footsteps getting closer.
My head quickly looked at the small door.
The door opened, a short woman entered. Her ash brown hair was tied up in a tight bun, and her long blue skirt swirled around her with every step.
The woman stared at me for some seconds, but then a smile appeared on her face.

"Ah, I see you're awake," she said, carefully walking closer. "I almost thought you would sleep forever."

"W-where am i?!" I asked with a slight panick in my voice.
"Hey, hey, calm down....your at my house. Some hunters found you unconscious on the beach near the cliffs while they were searching for a demi boy." She tried to assure me that I'm safe. Her voice was a bit soothing and slow.
"How are you feeling? Is your head dizzy or does something hurt?" She looks extremely worried.
"N-no...I'm.. fine"
Then there was a tense minute of silence before the woman spoke up again. "I should introduce myself first... my name is Skyla. And like I said, the hunters were the ones who brought you to me. I somehow hope that they did not find the demi boy, but I wouldn't know if they did so. Uhm, what is your name, if I may ask? "
"...Quackity..."  'she doesn't know I'm a demi. But how?'
She nodded. "I never heard that name before. Where is it from?" You could hear the curiosity in her voice.

'Seems like she's gonna ask a bunch of questions' thought Quackity.
