Her screen lit up with two notifications—messages from both Lena and Taylor. Daisy's heart sank, her emotions from last night still fresh. She stared at the phone, debating which message to open first, already knowing that each one would pull her in a different direction.

She hesitated for a moment before tapping on Lena's message first, her fingers trembling slightly.

Daisy let out a soft sigh, guilt and warmth swirling in her chest. Lena was sweet, patient, and most importantly—available. She hadn't pried into what happened last night, leaving Daisy the space to decide if she wanted to explain. For a moment, Daisy thought about how different things might be if she let herself move forward with Lena, someone who wouldn't ask her to hide.

But before she could dwell too long, her attention shifted to Taylor's message. Her pulse quickened as she hesitantly tapped it open, bracing herself for what was sure to be more complicated.

Taylor: I'm sorry for last night. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just... I couldn't help myself when I saw you with her. Please, can we talk? I don't want to lose you, Daisy.

Daisy rubbed her temples, the weight of the morning easing a little. Going back to the Maze Runner set, even if just for a party, felt like a good distraction. She had been so wrapped up in the drama of her personal life that she almost forgot the film was nearly complete. A small gathering with familiar faces, away from the chaos of her emotions, might help clear her head.

"Yeah, alright," Daisy said, her voice more determined. "I'll be there."

After hanging up, she quickly got dressed, opting for something simple but stylish—a black skirt and a comfortable knit sweater. A part of her was still aching from last night's mess, but at least this way, she could focus on something she was proud of: her work.

When she arrived at the set, the mood was warm and celebratory. Crew members, castmates, and a few other familiar faces were scattered around, laughing and exchanging stories. Wes Ball, the director, stood in the middle of the room, offering hearty congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in the project.
