When the door of the Danger Room finally reopened after more than two hours of training, what emerged looked more like a horde of zombies than humans. They were all completely exhausted, the session having been so intense that their legs were threatening to give up. Chris, for whom all this was completely new, had even fainted. Namjoon had to evacuate him.

"I was curious to see what your training was like," said Jungkook, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead, "but this was the first and last time! I'll never set foot in that room again!"

Taehyung let out a small laugh, amused by Jungkook's dramatic side. Because no matter how much the man complained, he'd done extremely well in there. Taehyung had already been able to see that a little during Houston's intervention, but today had confirmed his suspicions: Jungkook was an outstanding fighter. As Namjoon had explained before the session, the danger room had taken the form of a labyrinth, with enemies scattered around to be killed. Jungkook had never let himself be taken by surprise, always on the lookout, and had knocked out every mercenary who crossed his path. Taehyung had honestly been impressed. And a little turned on. It had to be said that Jungkook was incredibly sexy when he was fighting.

"You're exaggerating, you did better than the rest of us." Taehyung replied, laughing.

"That's because you had your eyes on me, chéri. I had to give it my all, so as not to disappoint you."

Taehyung rolled his eyes, but didn't lose his smile.

"You'll never stop flirting, even when you're on the verge of exhaustion, right?"

Jungkook chuckled.

"It's in my veins, ma beauté."

Taehyung never fully understood the nicknames Jungkook used for him, and he'd stopped trying to translate them when he was alone. He'd done it the first few times, and his poor little heart couldn't take it. The nicknames he used were always so sweet, and he said them with such sensuality, such affection... Even if he didn't understand them all, Taehyung felt himself melting whenever Jungkook used one to address him. But of course, he didn't show it. Jungkook mustn't have known the extent of the effect he had on him. Otherwise it would become his greatest weakness.

Perhaps it already was.

"Taehyung!" called a voice behind his back.

The teenager turned, seeing Jin approaching him.

"Yes?"

"Professor Xavier is asking for you. I'm sure you're tired, but he'd like to take advantage of that for your special training sessions."

Taehyung widened his eyes slightly, before his face immediately darkened. Jungkook was slightly shocked by the sudden change of mood on the teenager's face. His whole body tensed up, and his hands began to shake a little.

"Oh, all right. I'll be right there..."

Jin nodded and disappeared, leaving only Taehyung and Jungkook in the corridor leading to the danger room. Everyone else had already left. And Jungkook felt it was for the best. The teenager suddenly seemed so fragile, about to break if you blew on him.

"Is something wrong, chéri?" he asked, unable to see the boy's face as his back was to him.

Taehyung turned around, putting on a smile that he hoped would be convincing, but Jungkook could see perfectly well that it was nothing of the sort.

"No, everything's fine. Sorry, Cajun, I have to go. I don't think I'll be eating tonight, so maybe I'll see you tomorrow."

Jungkook couldn't say anything, just watched as the teenager disappeared around the corner. He was dying to follow him, to find out what had got him into this state, but he knew it wasn't right, and that Taehyung wouldn't approve. However, that didn't mean he was resigned to not finding out the truth. He would simply use a different method.
