Divine searched through the night, filled with the crowds and crowds, of locals and visitors, all present for the annual Christmas festival. The town was notorious for it, bringing in tourists and reuniting families from all around to witness the festivities. Everywhere she looked, there were happy faces, joyful chatter; it was the cheer of the holiday season.

The festival was packed with festive rides; candy cane carousels spun slowly, dressed with twinkling red and green lights, while the Santa sleigh roller coaster whizzed by with shrieks. The stalls nearby sold the classics: hot cocoa, fresh pasteries, corndogs and all the other fair food one could think of. Pop-up shops sold everything from woolen stockings to tree skirts, each vendor having knitted it all themself. Christmas lights stretched overhead, shining colors across the snow-dusted grounds and roofs as gentle flakes fell softly.

Since the festival was held right before The Blessed Mother's holiday break, the school would let the students run loose. It was a rare opportunity for everyone to relax, even the teachers, who could finally enjoy some respite from their duties.

But for Divine, it was hard to focus on the festivities. She was searching for someone, and the people seemed never-ending. She was a tall figure, so it was no struggle to navigate through crowds.

Finally, she spotted her, standing in front of the photo booth—the woman had long dark hair, bundled up in a large winter jacket and baggy pants. She didn't need to see her face to know who it was. Without hesitation, she cut through the crowd with mumbled 'sorry's before making her way to the shorter woman. In one swift motion, Divine discreetly wrapped her arms around her waist and dragged her behind the red curtain of the photo booth.

Billie let out a startled scream, her heart racing as she felt the arms tighten around her. A hand quickly covered her mouth to stifle the noise, but when she heard the familiar laugh, the déjà vu hit her—just like the time Divine had pulled her down a chute. Recognition set in instantly.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" Billie exclaimed, prying Divine's hand away from her mouth by the wrist, her head snapping toward her with wide eyes. "You've got to stop kidnapping me!" She couldn't help but giggle.

Divine chuckled, pulling Billie onto her lap with ease. "How else am I supposed to treat my girl?" she whispered, leaning in to steal a kiss. Billie gave her a quick peck, hyper-aware of the thin curtain separating them from the world outside.

"Oh? I'm your girl now?" Billie teased, shifting in Divine's lap with smirk.

Divine grinned cheesily nodding, her hands rubbing over Billie's clothed thighs. "You liking the festival? It's your first one around here."

Billie chuckled, resting her head against Divine's chest and snuggling closer. "I love it, It's adorable. Some of the other teachers showed me around."

Divine wrapped her arms tightly around her, squeezing her affectionately. "Which teachers?"

"I don't remember her last name... I think you call her Miss Estevens?" Billie pondered for a second.

Divine's expression shifted, her lips making a dramatic 'O'. "That bitch? Ugh, fuck her," she scoffed, "But, I guess she's the only one your age."

Billie rolled her eyes, giving Divine a playful smack on the shoulder. "Oh, shut up. You don't like any of the teachers. She's nice, okay?"

Divine chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Whatever. I'm just glad you're having fun." She softened, her genuine affection shining through. Billie smiled up at her, pressing a kiss to Divine's neck, sending a warm blush to Divine's cheeks.
