Chapter 5. Motherhood

* Queen Katherine's POV *

Since I read Arabella's resume I couldn't help but be intrigued by her. A child with such intense guard training. Coming from a rich family.

Everything about her was so amusing. The way she was late but still sharp. The way she never failed to have a bit of sarcasm in her voice. When I met her for the first time god. Her brown skin and the way she did her hair. She was beautiful.

I immediately went to message all of my friends about the small angel I was hiring as a guard. Since the day she's arrived I've told many maids to treat her as if she was just a baby because that's all I can see her as.

I notice every small detail about her. The way she scrunched her noise at vegetables and the way she got so embarrassed when the maids helped her make her dinner plate. I noticed she didn't finish her food and she rushed out the dining room.

So when I walk into her room and find a drunk Arabella. My first thought is to scold her. As if she is a misbehaving child. But I realize she is my child who is in distress.

And when I find out that my child was hurt training to be a guard. My first thought will be to rush to her and find out who hurt my kid.

* Arabella's POV *

I've been here for a while and it just gets weirder and weirder. The queen embraces me into a hug and whispers in my ear.

"Go outside, Arabella."

"A maid will lead you to a room I want you to stay in until I'm finished."

Her words send a shiver down my spine. I look back at Johnathan who looks like he's about to puke and walk out the doors. The last thing I hear is the Queen screaming before the doors fully shut.

I look to my left and there's a maid signaling for me to follow her. I do as she asks. While we're walking down the castle halls I can still faintly hear the Queen screaming profanity's. It's scary.

My head starts to feel a little fuzzy and it gets hard to walk. The maid leaves immediately once we reach the room. I open the doors and get met my five women.

"Hello my darling." A very pretty lady with red hair smiles at me. "Hello. Who are you?" My eyes widen when I realize the red haired lady has a crown in her hands. "Oh! You're a queen I'm so sorry" I curtsy. I have literally never curtsied why do I keep on doing that? "It's fine my dear."

I look around the room. Out of the five women I only recognize one of them. The queen of Nightingale. Queen Adria Lin. When I actually pay attention I realize every women in this room is a queen. "Are you ok lovely?" Another women speaks to me. "I uh."

"Charlotte stop asking her idiotic questions she's obviously scared."

"Oh shush Adira she'll be just fine. She just needs a hug come her darling."

Another queen buts in.

"Both of you are acting like children."

Three of the queens start bickering. I'm just awkwardly standing by the door.

When I turn to my side there a two queens talking to each other. All the queens are sitting somewhere separate from each other except for them.

"Hey pip squeak."

The two queens sitting next to each other whisper to me. I walk over to them. "You good?" One of the queens ask me. "What's your name your highness?" She chuckles. "I'm star and this is my sister Luna." She points to the other lady or I guess Luna. "You see those two big hills outside the window?" I nod. "My kingdom is on one hill and my sister's is on the other."

I nod quickly in understanding. These are the two queens of the North and South peaks! "Do you just hate how they baby you around?" Queen star catches my attention. I nod confused on how she knows that. "Do they baby you too?" I ask with my eyes full of curiosity. "Yup but sometimes I get to baby people." I tilt my head. She realizes I'm confused and continues.

"You ever hear about this thing called age regression?" I shake my head. "Hm. Well that's something to discuss when Arabella is here."

"Wait why what is it?!"

Before she gets another word out the doors to this lounge room opens. "Hey everyone." Queen Arabella walks in. I go to greet her but Star and Luna tell me it's unnecessary. Weird. Queen Arabella walks over to me. "Are you okay? I didn't get a chance to really look at the scar."

I nod at her. It feels really good that she cares about me but whatever. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have been so close to you the other day your highness or." I sigh "Drinking in your castle."

The other queens in the room go silent. I turn around and see Queen Star smirking at me. I feel kinda guilty that I'm in their way. "I'll be leaving now thank you so much your highness." Everyone in the room cringes when I address Queen Katherine.

I look behind me questionably and walk out the doors.

* Queen Katherine's POV *

"Mh yes Katherine I understand why you chose that kid" Adira says abruptly.

"Does this mean I'm getting a new friend to play with!?" Star screams across the room. She has clearly slipped.

"Kat! I can't believe you were keeping that sweet girl hidden for so long!" Charlotte buts in and everyone agrees with her.

"Oh shush I met her a couple of weeks ago." I hum. "But isn't she just the cutest thing?!"

Everyone looks at me with amusement in their eyes. Star is still just so excited about having a new little to play with.

"So kat..." I look over to Adira. "Do you plan on discussing this with her?" I stare at her blankly for a while. "I don't know about you all but my husband is dying to meet his new niece." Charlotte adds. Everyone agrees expect for Star of course.

"I don't know ladies."

"She is so young I don't want to overwhelm her. You all know how children can be." I side eye Star who is coincidentally whining about candy as we speak.

Star is a switch. Mostly a little. I was hoping she can ease Arabella into me.

I'm about to go say something but get interrupted. "Can I go hang out with Arabella?" I chuckle at how eager Star is.

"Sure kid."

I realize I only explained who the sisters are but I'll tell who each queen is and which kingdom is there's next chapter!
