*Arabella's POV*I was in time out for a very long time last night. I mean I spent the five minutes in the corner like Katherine asked me to but I guess calling her a life ruining evil queen wasn't the best thing to say after my life sentence was up. It's whatever though. I just jumped out my window with a sheet rope and now i'm running to the nearest bakery.
Katherine wanted me to apologize. For what!? I feel no remorse so I will not being giving an apology and certainly not a fake sincere one. Sometimes she is such a bit-. Damn it a fence! I run straight into the fence and go tumbling down the hill I was running on. I list out a paragraph of profanities before I eventually land on stone ground.
I groan and slowly move my body up. Looking around I notice nothing but grass which makes zero since. I was just surrounded by buildings. I hoist myself up to get a normal view of where I am and spot a cave in front of me.
"Come in." A disturbing low voice calls for me. I walk closer to the cave in front of me and stick my head a little closer to it. I swear I hear millions of little voices all pleading for me to come inside the cave. I walk into it and I'm greeted by a tall women covered in so much light I can't make out any of her actual features.
"Hello Arabella. Are you ready to rule your new kingd_-"
"Arabella! Kings! All of the queen's husbands are here and they want to meet you!" Im shot awake. It was a dream? Why do I keep having these vivid dreams. First it was the horse and now it's a kingdom?
Wait Star is here. I feel a tugging on my heart. I grab my chest and start breathing heavy. Everything starts slowing down and I can hear Star's voice start to muffle. Suddenly my eyes jolt back open again. "Star." She hums at me worried. "We have to go now."
No questions asked Star slides on her slippers and throws on one of my jackets. I leap out of bed and follow her movements. Putting on slippers and a jacket. "Follow me."
I grab Star's hand and lead her through the castle. We swerve left and right and Star just lets me pull her through. We make it to the exit and I storm out ignoring the guards telling me Katherine enforced a curfew for me and Star. I can feel something in my chest. Something heavy and guiding. I know where i'm going or at least my heart does. I look back at Star and she has a knowing face. Almost like she knows why i'm taking us to a random place outside.
I take the exact steps that I took in my dream. I find the hill and run down it. Somehow even though I have never walked this path before in my dream I knew exactly where it was and how to find it. We make it to the cave and before I can walk in a little light ball appears right before my eyes.
I look back at Star. "Look in front of you." I turn my head foward again and see a nappy headed Katherine who is still in her night gown. How did she appear so fast? "Touch the light, baby." I do as she says and my entire view is blinded by a sudden ray of light. I hear my name being yelled and feel myself being moved.
I open my eyes and i'm not with Star and Katherine anymore. I'm in a forgotten kingdom that I quickly recognize from a book I read. I take in the kingdom. Every house is beaten and broken in. The sky is gloomy and the only living thing inside it other than me is rats and bugs. I turn my head towards a breeze I feel on my arm. I see a mist and in a blink of an eye that mist becomes Katherine.
"Are you magic? How did you do that? What is happening! Did I just teleport?"
"Calm down Arabella. Let me explain before you lose your mind." I nod eager and let her talk.
Katherine flicks her wrist and suddenly the dirty kingdom turns beautiful. "Arabella. A long long time ago there was a marvelous kingdom ran by a king and his queen. The kingdom was rich with flowers, sun, joy, and community." Katherine grabs my hand and leads me through the kingdom she made appear. "Nobody thought there could ever be a kingdom better than this one. Until it got better. See the king and queen always said that once they had a child they would be named after kingdom and then they had a daughter. The princess was the best gift to the kingdom."
"She was a ray of sunshine ready to bring even more joy into the kingdom. But with a new princess came new responsibility. It also meant giving up the king and queens freeing nature." Katherine flicks her wrist and we appear in front of a young couple both wearing crowns. They have the same skin tone and hair as me? "The king wasn't ready for that. The two royals began to fight." I watch as the man slaps the women across the face. Then we move to a little play room with a little girl. "This ended up horrible and the queen decided she could't take it anymore."
The lady I saw before comes in and grabs the little girl. "In the middle of the night while her husband was sleeping the queen packed all her important belongings, money, and her daughter and left." We then see the lady and little girl get into a carriage and drive off. "Back then there was this thing called magic. Magic was only accesible to royalty so the queen used her last bit of magic to erase any memory of being a princess out of her daughters mind." The lady grabs her daughters head and a little bit of light flows through her hand and into her daughter's head.
"There has always been rumors that the princess will have a sliver of connection to her kingdom." We return back to the dirty kingdom. "Also there is one more thing." I hum.
"The kingdoms name was Arabellaina."
"Like Arabella?"
What if I just end the book here?? 😏😏
