Love?

The sun on her face makes all her features stand out. Her eyelashes move as she blinks. The way she walks. Her posture. Everything about her had me captured in a spell. Just then the bell rang bringing me back to reality. It was another Monday and I was late, yet again. Thank god prayers were over. We all got up from the benches and made a single-file line so the prefects could check our nails and uniform. Dahlia, the hottest, prettiest, most gorgeous girl in school. Look at me a 14-year-old crushing on a senior prefect, like it's ever gonna happen. Her house is Darwin, anyone could see that from the red badge on her uniform. Right I should probably get to class.

When I got to class they had just finished taking attendance so I didn't miss out on the lesson. I went an took my seat next to Adeline. She was a short, petite girl with mid length, layered hair. Also the richest of my friends. Her dad owned a big company, so she had a lot of connections. She was also my twin and best friend, Adeline Winters and my only best friend who didn't know about my crush on Dahlia. "Late as always" she remarked. "What happened this time?" "My dad happened" I replied. She laughed and turned back to the teacher. Mrs. Mendis was giving all of us a lecture. I took a deep breath and slouched on my chair. This was gonna be a long day

The interval bell rang (finally) and everyone rushed out of class. Addy normally eats with her other friends Natasha (tasha) and Savannah. I said bye to addy and left of to find Sam and Sage. I went into their class and placed my food on Sam's table. "Where's ur food?" I asked. "Wow, no 'hi' 'how are you?'" Sage joked. "Oh shush, you all know I'm only here for the food. Now tut Sam get your food out" I said to Sam who was lazing around in her chair. "Ok" she sighed. I knew she was gonna take ages, so i decided to go find Sonya. "I'm gonna go find Sonya" and with that I ran off. Sonya was in her class doing math as usual. "Hi bubs! What's up?" I asked. "Nothing much, I have to finish this before next period." "So you're not coming down with us this time either?" "Sorry" "No biggie. I have to go now, Sam and Sage are gonna throw tantrum otherwise. Text you when i get home" "okie luv you mum" It was a thing we had in our school. Almost everyone was related to everyone. Sonya was my kid, Sam was my mum, Addy was my twin and Sage was my grandma. "Luv u too" I sent her a flying kiss and walked out of the class.

Me, Sage and Sam were walking near the cafeteria and sage ran off to buy Ice cream, leaving me and Sam by ourselves. Sonya normally doesn't come downstairs with us. Its like she's drifting away and i feel like a bad friend for letting her. Sam noticed i was deep in thought and asked me if i was okay. "Yh, just thinking" I replied. Just then Dahlia passed by. I felt my whole world light up. All my problems seemed to disappear. She said hi and gave me a big smile. God her smile was so pretty and adorable. The way her eyes crinkled was so enchanting. I said hi back and returned her smile. After she passed by, Sam turned to me and said "You are so in love" "Shut up no I'm not. Its just a crush" I replied quickly. "Ok whatever u say" She saw sage holding and ice cream and ran yelling "Hey! Leave some for us" I laughed at the pair. I loved these two idiots. I walked towards them, what Sam said replaying in my head. 'You are so in love' No i wasn't. I wasn't in love. You cant fall in love in just 2 months. That's impossible. Right?
