To say that the information about not just mutation but also the FEV presented to the galaxy at large sparked controversy would be like saying the Krogan Rebellions was started over taxes.

Because as soon as knowledge, or at least the mention and results of the Forced Evolutionary Virus was shown to the galaxy the reaction was to be expected from the usual suspects, the Union wanted to contain and study possibly even attempt to 'cull' a 'threat to the wider galaxy.'

While the Republics wanted to reason and even attempt to engage in diplomacy with the second-generation mutants while also pushing their own agenda.

Yet what caused the greatest controversy was a public statement made by the combined Turian-Quarian governments "Our stance on the subject of the Forced Evolutionary Virus is one of caution and understanding. While yes the dangers posed are great we will be open to mutants who have no hostile intent. However unlike other governments, we will not simply try to study the virus as a means to 'cull' or even 'control' but to try and find a cure for the affliction. To help these poor souls who were forced to become mutants or those who were unlucky to become mutants."

This of course was met with hard criticism from both the Union and Republics yet, what could they do? Nothing. Neither government could do anything since the Hierarchy now had the edge in not only the means of energy but also shipbuilding and military strength.

Yet for three friends on the very center of the galactic stage, none of that mattered as now they found themselves back where friends always find themselves. At a little dinner enjoying food, drink, and their friendship.

Garrus, Wrex and Tali were discussing the last info of Super Mutant. Tali had never gotten over with, she still sympathized with those who were turned into the thing they themselves are in fact. No longer normal people.

If this is the right term for them, but her friends don't see the way her view is.

Wrex thought of them as nothing to be sorry for, he'll just put them out of their misery and be done with that, Garrus had also in his agreement. It doesn't mean Tali will not talk about her views.

"Garrus, Wrex, I know there's no hope for them, nor any care in any case, but I just... We could somehow find a way to."

Wrex raises up his talon hand to interrupt Tali. "Save it, kid. If they prove to be hostile, they'll just be another target for us." Wrex shook his head in grimace, he too didn't like either, but that's just the way it is.

Garrus nodded slowly, "I'm sorry Tali, we'll just have to accept for now."

Tali running a thumb over her drink couldn't help but wonder "It's just." She was silent as she continued her thought "It's just hard to think that some of those second generation are actually ok while others suffer."

Wrex nods "Oh yeah the 'dumb dumbs' is what they called the later generations." shaking his large head a bit "I agree somewhat but let's face it, Earth is messed up and we will have to learn how to adapt to it."

Tali sighed, she may not like this cruel reality, but she'll have to accept this for now. "So, any guess what it could show us next?"

Wrex and Garrus both equally shrug their shoulders off.

"No. Idea, spirit, we can even perceive what in the cruel galaxy this Planet Earth had in store for us." Garrus speaks out.

"One I could think of is there's a bigger monster than the super mutant," Wrex said, speculating.

Garrus chuckles a bit "I mean, you're not wrong. The mysterious narrator did say there are more dangerous things in the wasteland."

Tali, feeling like she needed to change to a brighter subject, decided to turn to Garrus and say "Soooo I heard that your people started a spy service?" That got Garrus to laugh a little as he shook his head slightly "No, no not a spy service Tali, just a security bureau meant to keep an eye on the terminus system and the Batarians."
