I'm having so much fun writing this story right now cuz of the burst of ideas in my brain. My hands are just free flowing and typing these words automatically. Thank you so much for the lovely response. Here we go with another early chapter.

______

Abhira woke up to white ceilings and, for a second, forgot where she was, but a numbing pain in her nether regions reminded her of what had transpired a few hours ago. She blinked open her eyes, the sudden realisation that she still hadn't seen Armaan hit her. She tried to get up, but the postpartum pain shot through her body, and she could only wince.

A person sat on the couch beside her bed, their head resting on their fist, and their eyes closed. Her struggle woke the person, and they rushed to Abhira's aid.

"Abhira! Aaram se bachhe. Abhi kamzor hai tu bahut. Tu hulk ki mameri behen nahi, Abhir ki behen hai." Abhir said and helped her sit on the bed, adjusting and fluffing her pillows to make her comfortable.

"Bhai!" She exclaimed and hugged him tightly. Abhir responded with a tighter hug, knowing the pain she experienced both physically and mentally in the past 24 hours, and pecked her head lightly.

"Bhai! Armaan? I want to see him. Please take me to him. Woh kaisa hai ab? Is he out of danger? What is the doctor saying? When will we take him home-" Abhira started with her questions, restless and yearning to see her husband's face.

"Armaan is out of surgery, bachhe. He will be in ICU, under observation for the day, because the injuries he sustained were very grevious. I personally checked all his pre - and post-op scans. The doctors have done a wonderful job. Abhi toh Ma-Baba and your family are sitting outside. And Nani Sa is in the room with him." Abhir articulated, and she nodded, relieved that he was okay.

"Mujhe milna hai usse. Mujhe lekar chalo Bhaiya." She pleaded.

"Mai bahut zyada chahta hoon, to take you to him but Dr. Mishra has ordered that you not move from this bed for at least 4-5 more hours. There was a lot of blood loss in your delivery, Abhira. Any movement may lead to blood loss again. We can't take any chances right now. Aur vese bhi, he'll be conscious very soon. Tab tak you also get stronger. Fir dono pati-patni ko araam se ek general room mei shift kardenge." He said beside her, and she nodded.

"Aur.. aur BSP? Woh kidhar hai?" She looked at the empty cot beside her bed.

"Are mera laddu BSP. Kya khoobsurat sa beta hua h tumhara, Abhira. Apne mamu ke toh seene se chipak hi gaya tha, lekin tumhari yeh nanad, jo ab galti se meri biwi bann gayi hai, usse chheen kar le gayi mujhse. Abhi woh nursery mai hai. Nurse Shweta will bring him to you soon." Abhir said, a huge smile on his face at the talk of his nephew.

"Kya bhai aap bhi. Almost 1 saal hone wala hai aapki aur Charu ki shaadi ko. Ab toh yeh ajeeb mazaak band karo. Ekdum bade papa 2.0 bante jaa rahe ho. Aur vese bhi. Meri Charu ko zyada pareshaan mat karo okay? Woh apne 2nd trimester mai aa gayi hai ab." She finally smiled.

"Okay, ma'am." He mock saluted.

"Kya sab log mil chuke hai BSP se?" She asked.

"Mostly. Ma-Baba, Mai, Charu, Madhav aur Manoj Mama ji, Manisha Mami ji, Nani Sa, Rohit aur-" Abhira burst into tears at that and clutched her hands at her chest.

"BSP se milne ka sabse pehela haq uske papa ka tha, Bhaiya. Aur ab dekho, sablog mil chuke hai usse, uske papa ke alaawa." She whispered.

"Abhira.. beta aisa sochegi toh rona aayega hi. Jo hua woh ek bahut bura haadsa tha. Iss baat ki khushi manaa ki Armaan sahi salaamat hai. Aur hosh mai aane ke baad dekhiyo, woh BSP ko apne paas hi rakhega. Ek second bhi use apne se door nahi hone dega." He consoled her softly. "Bas kuch ghante aur, aur fir tu apne Armaan ke paas hogi."
