Aru's POV:
The bed felt warmer than mine, the thick sheets enveloping me like a comforting cocoon. As I lay there, I was surrounded by a soft darkness, the heavy curtains blocking any trace of sunlight from filtering in. The room was cold, a stark contrast to the cozy warmth of the bed, and I could hear the faint hum of silence that came with the early morning hours.
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking against the dim light as my surroundings came into focus. The walls were painted a deep shade of gray, and the furniture was sleek and modern, everything meticulously arranged. It took a moment for my brain to process where I was. I was in Aryan's room—the realization hit me like a splash of cold water. But why am I here?
I took a deep breath, inhaling the faint scent of his cologne mixed with the crispness of the sheets. Despite the darkness, there was something comforting about being in his space, something that made me feel oddly safe. But the chill in the air reminded me that I wasn't in my own room.
I could hear the faint sounds of the city waking up outside, but here, in this room, it felt like a world apart. It was so quiet, so different from my usual mornings filled with chatter and sunlight streaming through my window. I shifted slightly, trying to gather my thoughts.
I gasped as I took a look at my body, the remnants of last night crashing down around me like a wave. I was wearing Aryan's coat, its fabric soft and oversized, practically swallowing me whole. But beneath it, I noticed the torn edges of my dress—the fabric frayed and ripped, exposing far more than it should have.
What the hell?! My mind raced as I processed what this meant. How had I ended up like this? Confusion and embarrassment washed over me in equal measure. I remembered snippets of last night, flashes of laughter and reckless abandon, but I couldn't quite piece together the moments that had led to this.
Why did I let things go so far? Panic rose in my chest as I tried to recall the events, but all I could grasp were the feelings—the exhilaration, the freedom of letting go, and then the sudden shame that followed. My heart raced as I ran my fingers over the torn fabric.
Did I really act that recklessly? Was I really that person? The weight of my own choices bore down on me, and I felt a hot flush creep up my cheeks.
I hurriedly pulled the coat tighter around me, as if it could shield me from the reality of the situation. This was so unlike me! My mind screamed, desperately trying to comprehend how I'd allowed myself to be swept up in the moment.
Taking a deep breath, I leaned against the headboard, trying to steady my racing heart. What if Aryan saw me like this? What would he think? The last thing I wanted was for him to see the vulnerability I felt now.
Did something happen between us? NO NO NO! IT CANT BE. NOT LIKE THIS.
Just then, a creak from the door made my heart leap into my throat. I froze, dread creeping in as I awaited his arrival.
Aryan stepped out of the bathroom, water droplets glistening on his toned chest, the faint scent of his cologne lingering in the air. My breath hitched as my eyes roamed over his Greek god physique—broad shoulders, defined abs, and those dark eyes that seemed to pierce right through me. He wore a smirk that sent a rush of heat to my cheeks. Oh my god. Don't make things worse, please.Instinctively, I clung tighter to the coat, pulling it around me like a shield against the reality of the situation. My heart raced as I tried to piece together how I ended up here, in his room, in this state. "Why and how did I end up here and like this?" I managed to stammer, shivering as I met his gaze.
Aryan leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth as he watched me squirm under his gaze. "You really don't remember much from last night, do you?" he asked, his tone dripping with amusement.
