"Life's not fair, is it? You see, I...well, I shall never be king." The dark lion sadly lamented as the mouse skittered in between his protruding claws. "And you...shall never see the light in another day...adieu..."

Just as the lion was about to eat the mouse, Zazu cut in, thank goodness for that.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" The hornbill asked.

"What do you want?" The dark lion asked annoyed.

"I am here to announce that King Mufasa and Sorcerer Joshua are on their way, so you better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning." Zazu announced.

This was the perfect time for the mouse to escape. Snowy tried to go after it but I held her still.

"Snowy, no." I softly warned.

"Oh, now, look, Zazu! You made me lose my lunch." The dark lion pouted.

"Ha! You'll lose more than that when the king and the Sorcerer get through with you! They're as mad as hippos with a hernia." Zazu boasted.

"Oooh, I quiver with FEAR." The dark lion intimidated and leaned to lunge for Zazu. I backed away in fear; while still holding my cat. My heart was beating wildly. Zazu backed away too.

"Now, Scar, don't look at me that way!" Zazu warned nervously.

So Scar's his name??? I thought.

"HEEELP!" Zazu squawked before Scar's jaws snapped shut with the poor majordomo in his mouth. I screamed in surprise and fear.

"SCAR." Mufasa warned from outside his cave. His younger brother turned to face him with his mouth full.

I ran with Snowy in my arms and towards the King.

"Drop him." Mufasa ordered.

"Impeccable timing, your majesty." Zazu said from inside Scar's mouth.

The latter spat him out and poor Zazu was covered in his saliva.

"Eww!!!" I wrinkled my nose in disgust.

"Why if it isn't my big brother descending from on high to mingle with the commoners?" Scar smiled albeit sarcastically. His rich deep and menacing voice didn't affect uncle Joshua or Mufasa.

"You know why we're here, Scar! Don't play games!" Uncle Joshua warned. Inwardly, he didn't want to be stern with him.

"Sarabi and I didn't see you at the presentation of Simba." Mufasa added.

"That was today? Ohh, I feel simply awful!" I couldn't tell if Scar feigned surprise or not but he did. He scratched the walls on his cave and to be honest, it felt like nails on a chalkboard. "Must have slipped my mind."

"That's your excuse?" I asked incredulously and clearly, I wasn't impressed.

"Honey..." Uncle Joshua chimed in gently.

"I've got this, Mei." Mufasa whispered reassuringly to me.

I nodded silently. Rani ambled up beside me all of the sudden. She was curious and nervous at the same time.

"Yes, well as slippery as your mind is, as the King's brother, you should have been first in line!" Zazu snapped as he flew in Scar's face. The latter showed his bared teeth and Zazu backed away. He cowered behind Mufasa.

"Well, I was first in line, until the little hairball was born." Scar stooped to Zazu's level.

"That hairball is my son, and your future King." Mufasa corrected his younger brother, meeting his gaze.
