The next morning was an uncomfortable one. The three of them sat around the table in the kitchen all eating different breakfasts. Draco, in his new jumper and Harrys shorts, was eating a warm croissant with strawberry jam and a cup of coffee. Harry was angrily digging into a bowl of cereal as Sirius sat reading the Prophet, slowly taking bites of buttered toast with a cup of tea. Harry and Draco barely looked at each other and between articles, Sirius would look up and observe them both quickly before turning back to look at what the Romainian Quidditch team was up to after their World Cup victory. Sirius, leaving half of his breakfast on the table, stood and moved into one of the drawing rooms. As he left, he glanced at Harry, meeting his eyes and mouthing "Talk To Him!" and pointing at Draco. But Harry rolled his eyes and rose from his seat, bowl in hand, ready to give to Kreacher to wash up when Draco caught him arm instinctively before dropping it
"Harry, would you stay, please?" Looking at Draco's face, it was obvious he'd slept badly the night before.
Harry exhaled, rubbing his hands through his messy black hair, taking a seat opposite.
"Look, I know I shouldn't have done it. It was a mistake, and I understand why you're upset." Draco's hand reached across the table, willing Harry to take it.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so so sorry." He was becoming quiet again, drawing into himself.
"Draco, stop apologising," Harry shook his head, his voice calm but sad.
"I wish you'd told me, it's just so risky, what if something had happened-"Draco then produced a small box, a big red bow covering most of the top. Harry stopped short, looking between the box and Draco.
"I didn't just meet my mother to talk, I hadn't gotten you a present and I thought she'd know..." He trailed off eyes on the floor and his hand outstretched holding the box.
Harry took it slowly. He pulled the bow off haphazardly and found a sleek and shining watch inside. The band was a dark leather and the face seemed almost chrome until it faced Harry.
"Oh, Draco." Harry was taken back, he'd never received something like this and he didn't really know how to react.
"Do you like it?" Draco asked, his voice obviously nervous.
"Of course, how could I not like it?" Harry said, lifting out of the box glancing up at Draco as he put it on.
"Are you sure? Because if you don't I mean I can get you something else, you can pick it-" Harry smiled at Draco, holding his face.
"I love it, thank you." Harry smiled softly "We're okay, alright? I just get scared of losing you sometimes. "
"We're okay." He repeated, and Harry leant over and kissed him.

When a door opened on their left...
