CH 4- New feelings

Taylor's POV:

I was getting ready for school when I got a text from Gracie.

Gracie

Hey Taylor sorry for being a little rude last night just wasn't in the right mindset. But I had fun see you in the halls today

I smiled at the text and responded. I got my backpack on and drove to school. Just in time for math class. I saw Gracie at her locker talking with Rudy and laughing. I don't know why but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw her. She saw me and waved. I waved back and smiled.

Gracie's POV:

I waved to Taylor and then turned back to Rudy.

Rudy-"wanna tell me why she doesn't have a death wish on you anymore"

Gracie-"We hung out last night like I said, and I think she finally likes me?"

Rudy-"huh. Anyways, did you do social studies homework? I forgot to do it"

Gracie-"SHIT we had homework?"

Rudy-"oh we're fucked. Did The little date distract you?"

Gracie-"IT WASN'T A DATE DINGUS"

I slapped him on the back of his neck and he laughed.

Taylor's POv:

Rudy-"mhm keep telling yourself that Gray"

I heard when I walked by. I brushed it off and went to math. I saw my friends Jenna, Joey and I sat down. I couldn't focus on math at all today. My mind kept thinking back to last night, How Gracie Clung to me, How I comforted her. I had no Idea why I wanted to just Hold her all the sudden.

Teacher-"Ms. Swift, can you tell me the answer to number 21?"

I shot my head towards the front.

Taylor-"U- umm, 13?"

Teacher-"Clearly a guess but yes. Pay attention next time Ms Swift."

I nodded and opened my notebook and started scribbling. I just kept drawing Bows and Roses. I saw Gracie walk by the door with her head down, I excused myself but Jenna stopped me.

Jenna-"Hey Tay, if you're gonna bully Gracie at least let me tag along."

She said laughing a little. But I wasn't amused. I just wanted to make sure she was okay, now that we are Friends? I don't know what we are but she likes me more.

Taylor-"no Jenna, not today. Let's leave her alone."

She scoffed and walked back to her seat, I grabbed my phone and ran out the door to follow Gracie, She was sitting on the floor next to her locker drawing. I slowly walked over and sat next to her.

Taylor-"Hey, what's wrong?"

Gracie-"N- nothing T- taylor. Go back to class."

Taylor-"Hey, it's just me. None of my friends out here I promise Gray."

Gracie-"Just a shitty day that's all. Teacher yelled at me because I was 2 mins late and I forgot my homework so he also yelled at me for that in front of everyone."

I hesitantly put my hand around her shoulders and leaned her into me. She leaned her head on my shoulder and just closed her eyes.

Graie-"I just hate school so much. Why can't it be easier? Like I forget my homework once and Mr, Smith freaks out. Like I have a life outside of school."

She ranted. I just nodded.

Taylor-"That sucks Gray. I'm sorry. I wish it was easier too."

Gracie-"but you're the Queen bee of the school, The Regina George."

Taylor-"Ouch, but true. How about after school you come over to mine? We could just watch a movie? A show or talk."

Gracie-"sure. I'll go home with you since Rudy drove me again today"

I nodded and Stood up and walked back to class.

It was after school and I walked back to Gracie's locker to take her to mine God, what is she doing to me why do I get so nervous to talk to her.

Jenna-"Tay- wait, why are you hanging out with Greasy Abrams?"

Taylor-"Would you stop bullying her Jenna, I'M done with your little bully group. She's hurt enough just get the fuck out of my sight, we're done no longer firends."

She scoffed and stared at me in disbelief.

Taylor-"come on gray, let's go home."

She nodded and I took her hand, we got in the car and drove home.

Gracie-"Thank you for, for standing up for me Tay, you didn't have to."

Taylor-"But I did, They've been nothing but awful. I never wanted to be in that group, I was forced too. And when I Pushed you in it's cause I was drunk and she dared me too. I'm so sorry Gracie."

She put her hand on my knee and I blushed. I slowly put my hand over hers and squeezed it.

As we pulled up to my house we took our backpacks up and watched friends in my bed while talking. I didn't realize she was lying on my chest again till she sat up and brushed hair out of my face.

Taylor-"H- hi."

I blushed, she giggled. God her laugh will be the death of me. It's so cute.

Gracie-"Taylor Alison Swift, Are you blushing right now?"

I blushed harder and put my hand on her leg.

Taylor-"If I was, can I ask something?"

Gracie-"Sure go ahead."

Taylor-"You don't have to say yes, you can legit just walk up and leave i'll understand, But C- can I kiss you?"

Gracie-"Yes."

I leaned in with my hand on her jaw and now I was fully on my back. She was on top of me.
