CH 8- Just 3 words, That's it.

Taylor's POV

I was sitting in 2nd period English. One of my favorites, but I couldn't focus at all. I kept thinking back to how I almost said "I love you" to Gracie last night. It's just three words, Why is it so damn hard to say them though. I also kept trying to think of why Gracie is so much happier all the sudden. Not that I think it's a bad thing, It's just so out of the blue for her. I was about to pull out my phone when my Teacher came up to me.

Jenna-"Hey, Is everything okay Taylor? You usually love english?"

She said softly as she sat down next to me in the empty desk, where Sabrina would sit but she was sick today.

Taylor-"huh- oh yeah, everything's okay Jenna"

Everyone calls her Jenna . She doesn't like how her last name sounds, so we just use her first name.

Jenna-"Are you sure about that? You've been staring off into space for awhile"

Taylor-"Just worried about my Girlfriend."

Jenna-"Gracie?"

I looked confused, I haven't told her about us yet. Everyone is so close to Jenna it's almost like we're just like a big friend group.

Taylor-"H- how did you know?"

Jenna-"I saw you guys hugging outside after school, I could tell it wasn't a normal friend hug."

She said as she sent a soft smile at me.

Taylor-"shit, does anyone else know?"

Jenna-"1- no swearing, I'll let it slide for now, and 2- It was just me in the halls. I was talking to my husband on the phone, "Don't worry your secret's safe with me."

I let out a sigh of relief, and dropped my shoulders.

Taylor-"Thank you. Can I go to the bathroom and text her and see if she's ok?"

Jenna-"yeah, go ahead. Take care of her, I could tell by the way she looked at you after the hug ,that she loves you."

I nodded and grabbed my phone, I was walking down the hall and I saw Rudy at his locker on his phone. I walked up next to him.

Taylor-"What are you doing Rudy?"

Rudy-"omg, thank god."

He said as he turned around to look at me.

Taylor-"what?"

Rudy-"H- have you heard from Gray at all? She isn't answering me."

I started to panic and my heart sped up.

Taylor-"N- no, I haven't, that's why I was leaving class, to check up on her.

Just then my phone dinged, It was Gracie.

Taylor-"Wait, she just texted me."

I opened it and It just said,

Taylor-"uh oh."

Rudy-"What's "uh oh"

Taylor-"it says, "Help, in the gym"

Rudy put his phone in his pocket faster than I've seen him do it, he grabbed my hand.

Rudy-"let's go! She needs us."

We ran down the hall's and finally made it to the gym doors, We just heard muffled yelling. Worry washed over me as I pushed the doors open aggressively. I stopped when I heard the yelling. It was Gracie.

Gracie-"LET GO OF ME BITCH. I JUST TEXTED MY GIRLFRIEND SHE'll BEAT YOUR ASS."

?-"ha! Like she's gonna do shit. No one's gonna rescue you sweetie."

I leaned over around the corner and saw the girl brush a strand of hair behind her ear. But Gracie leaned her head the other way before she could. She pinned Gracie to the locker.

Gracie-"Fuck o- mm"

The other girl put her hand on her mouth to block her from yelling. That's when I lost it. I barged in there.

Taylor-"TAKE YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF MY GIRLFIREND"

I yelled. Gracie looked at me with fear in her eyes. The other girl looked like she was dear in headlights. I walked over to her and ripped her hand away from Gracie and punched the girl in the face. Her head came back up and already a black eye was forming.

Taylor-"that's for messing with people I care about! And this"

I said as I picked her up by her hair and shoved her into the locker.

Taylor-"Is for putting hands on my girl. NO one touches her other than me."

I said as she slid down the locker. She got up and ran away, I turned to Gracie and she just ran into me. I stumbled back but wrapped my arms around her when I gained my balance again.

Taylor-"shhh, you're okay baby, You're safe."

I said as I played with her hair and kissed the top of her head. She held tighter.

Taylor-"Rudy go sign us out please, I'm taking her home for the day."

He nodded and left to sign us out

Taylor-"baby, can you take my hand? I'll walk us out and we'll go to my place okay?"

She nodded into my chest and backed away, and took my hand but her grip was light, I could tell whatever that bitch did to her, made her weaker. I wrapped my other arm around her waist and we walked out of the building.

We got home and Gracie was hugging my waist while she had her head on my chest. I was just playing with the ends of her hair and whispering sweet nothings to her. We had Gilmore girls on one of her comfort shows. 'This is it, tell her you love her' I thought to myself. I'm gonna do it. I kissed the top of her head and she smiled as she watched the show. I took my hand and brushed some of her hair behind her neck, and kissed her head again.

Taylor-"I love you Gracie"

Gracie-"I love you too Taylor."

She instantly said back to me. I smiled wide and put my index finger under her chin to lift her head to meet my eyes. I leaned in and kissed her, we both closed our eyes as we sunk into it. We pulled back after a few seconds and put our foreheads together.

Taylor-"I've been so nervous to say it baby, you have no idea"

She smiled and kissed me again but this time more of a peck.

Gracie-"same here. I love you babe"

Taylor-"finally I can say I love you. I've been dreaming of this day."

She giggled and hugged my waist tighter. We continued to watch the show then met up with Rudy for dinner and I dropped her off.

Gracie-"No, don't go baby"

She said as we were standing on the front porch of her parents house aka her's. I saw her mom watching with a smile from the living room.

I ran my hand down her head.

Taylor-"I know, I know babygirl. I Don't wanna go home either. But I have to study for my English test and You need sleep. Maybe take tomorrow off."

She leaned up on her feet to kiss me. I placed my hand on her check and rubbed it with my thumb. I totally forgot Katie was watching. It started pouring out of nowhere. She didn't have a roof on her porch so we were soaked from the rain already.

Taylor-"ok I go home now. I love you Gracie"

Gracie-"I love you more honey"

She said as she turned away and walked into her house. I saw her run upstairs punching the air and smiling. God she's so cute. I waved to her mom and then turned away to my car and drove home.
