the epiphany

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝙆𝙔 𝙒𝘼𝙎 𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙍𝙀𝘿 with burnt down trees swaying slightly with the wind. Natalya was still in her green silk robe as she wandered through the forest. Her ears soon filled with the wails of a birthing mother, and when Natalya approached the sound, she saw Zelda at a woman's legs, Benjamin at her left, and Hilda enacting a calming spell.

"Mama."

Natalya mumbled to herself as her eyes widened slightly. It was the first time she'd seen her mother, well, outside of photos and visions, that is. Two more witches sporting cloaks approached Natalya's mother, father, and aunts. Each witch removed their cloaks and revealed their faces.

One was young and of ethereal beauty, and looked nearly identical to Natalya.

The other was old, yet still held beauty, and looked identical to Natalya's mother.

Zelda held baby Natalya in her arms and stroked her cheek gently before passing her over to Benjamin. A tear fell from the warlock's face as his daughter was placed in his arms. Natalya felt a presence behind her.

She turned around and saw the Dark Lord behind her. She look to her father and saw him approach him.

"Dad, no! Don't!"

Her pleads were useless.

Ben phased through Natalya's body and stood before the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord picked baby Natalya from Ben's arm and touched her head with his clawed hand. Natalya backed away from the scene, only to collide with a hard chest.

Standing before her were three demon kings who's crowns were made of their own skin.

"Scarlet Witch. Scarlet Witch. Scarlet Witch."

The three demons chanted as they stalked towards Natalya. Each of the demons opened a chest once they were close enough to her.

Natalya forced herself to wake up again to pull herself out of her dream. Sabrina was thankfully still fast asleep beside her.

The girls had a tradition to have a sleepover during the Winter Solstice, and the week leading up to the end of winter break, just like they would for their birthday. Natalya looks at the clock: it was 3am. She groans and drapes her covers over her body before falling back asleep.

"Alright, which one?"

Sabrina and Natalya blasted rock music while they got ready for the day early in the morning. Natalya presented Sabrina with a silk black blouse and a red sweater.

Majority of Natalya's closet was black and red. She could blame her best friend for her wardrobe. Sabrina pointed to the blouse and set it aside for Natalya.
