The golden light of the setting sun filters through the grand balcony, casting shadows across KASHVI’s tear-streaked face. She clutches her phone tightly, memories of her father flooding her mind.

KASHVI (whispers to herself): I miss you, Dad.

Suddenly, the shrill ring of her phone interrupts her thoughts. She wipes her tears and glances at the screen, seeing MR. WILLIAM’s name. Taking a deep breath, she answers.

KASHVI: Hello, Mr. William.

MR. WILLIAM (his voice warm yet serious): Hello, beta. Did you reach the mansion safely?

KASHVI: Yes, we’re here. Thank you for everything.

MR. WILLIAM: No need to thank me. You may not know me well, but I know you. Think of me as family. From now on, you and your sister are my responsibility.

Her heart races as she absorbs his words, fear creeping in.

KASHVI: What do you mean?

MR. WILLIAM: Your father had many enemies. Stay close to home. I’ve appointed bodyguards. John will be your driver—he’ll ensure your safety.

KASHVI: I understand. I appreciate your help.

MR. WILLIAM: Just returning the favor to your father. And please, call me Uncle.

There's a knock on the door; MS. MARY’s voice breaks the tension.

MS. MARY: Dinner is ready, KASHVI.

KASHVI nods slowly, her mind racing with uncertainty, but a flicker of gratitude remains.

KASHVI: Thank you, Uncle. I won’t forget your kindness.

The camera zooms in on her face, reflecting a mix of determination and fear as she hangs up, the weight of her father’s legacy heavy on her shoulders.
