INT. OFFICE CORRIDOR – DAY
Mr. Sharma and KASHVI step out of his cabin. The clatter of keyboards and distant conversations fills the air as they walk toward another department. Mr. Sharma's stride is confident, Kashvi, in contrast, walks with hesitant steps, her eyes scanning the new surroundings.
As they approach, they hear a sharp, authoritative voice.
ISHAAN AVASTHI (mid-30s, tall, with a commanding presence and sharp features) is scolding an employee with intense fervor. His piercing gaze, clenched jaw, and crisp suit add to his intimidating aura. The employee nods meekly, clearly rattled.
KASHVI's heart skips a beat. She stiffens. Mr. Sharma notices her reaction but gives no acknowledgment, only gesturing for her to wait. They stand at a respectful distance, observing silently.
Ishaan finishes his tirade, and the employee scurries away, thoroughly chastened. He turns to see Mr. Sharma and Kashvi, his eyes narrowing.
MR. SHARMA (cheerfully) Ah, Mr. Avasthi! Allow me to introduce you to Kashvi, our new intern.
Ishaan’s lips curl into a devilish smirk.
ISHAAN (smirking) Oh... an intern.
His gaze lingers on Kashvi, and she instinctively looks down, feeling a knot form in her stomach.
MR. SHARMA (tone firm) Take it easy, Mr. Avasthi. She’s important. Very close to the boss.
Ishaan raises an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed but playing along.
ISHAAN (mockingly) Important, huh? Well, then... welcome, Kashvi.
Mr. Sharma pats Kashvi on the shoulder reassuringly.
MR. SHARMA From today, you’ll be reporting to Mr. Avasthi.
Mr. Sharma walks away, leaving Kashvi alone with Ishaan. She swallows nervously, standing frozen as Ishaan eyes her with cold indifference.
ISHAAN (to himself, grudgingly) Let’s see how special you are...
He turns abruptly and beckons to a nearby employee, a young woman named PRIYA (early 20s, confident but approachable).
ISHAAN Priya, show her around.
Without another glance at Kashvi, Ishaan shoves his hands into his pockets and walks toward his cabin with an arrogant stride. Kashvi exhales softly, her nerves still tight.
PRIYA Come on, I’ll show you your desk.
INT. KASHVI’S DESK – LATER
Kashvi sits at a neat but empty desk. Priya gestures vaguely to the space.
PRIYA Sir will give you work. Just... wait.
Kashvi nods and sits idly, time dragging on painfully for what feels like an eternity. The minutes tick by. One hour. Nothing.
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM – DAY
Everyone is gathered in the conference room. The BOSS (mid-50s, stern, with a condescending air) walks in. His eyes land on Kashvi.
BOSS (smirking) Ah, the intern. Fetch me some coffee, will you?
The room erupts in hushed laughter. Kashvi’s face flushes with embarrassment, but she swallows her pride and follows his command. Her heart aches, but she thinks of her sister. She holds back tears as the day drags on.
INT. MANSION – NIGHT
Kashvi enters her family mansion, exhausted. She collapses onto the sofa, her body aching. Her eyes flutter shut, the toll of the day too much to bear.
MS. MARY (the housekeeper) comes to wake her up for dinner.
MS. MARY Kashvi, wake up dear. Dinner is ready.
Kashvi stirs but doesn’t respond. Ms. Mary touches her forehead, alarmed.
MS. MARY (startled) Oh no! You’re burning up.
She quickly dials the doctor.
INT. KASHVI’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
The doctor checks on Kashvi, now lying in her bed, pale and feverish.
DOCTOR (speaking calmly) Nothing to worry about. She’s just exhausted. I’ve given her an injection. Let her rest. She’ll be fine by morning.
MS. MARY (relieved) Thank you, Doctor. I’ll keep an eye on her.
Ms. Mary brings a bowl of warm soup and gently feeds Kashvi, who weakly accepts it. After giving her the tablets, Kashvi falls into a deep, restful sleep.
