Pravinya POV:
as soon as I stepped into metro my legs ached telling the fact that I sit almost 8 hours a day , it's not like I don't like my job but if I was given a chance I would probably opt for any other profession, I sighed a leaned onto the railing as I saw no seats vacant.
After 30 minutes I am finally home and I feel at peace I live with my parents , I rang the bell making my mom to open the door, " hi ma" I said and went to remove my heels which kill me every minute since morning, " you look exhausted go and freshen up" she said and went into hall to resume watching her serial.
I nodded and went into my room and took a bath and sat on the bed to relax after 20 minutes I heard my mom shouting my name , I rushed into the hall and saw both my parents are holding a file in their hands.
" come beta sit" they said and I sat down , " so beta as you know you are only our daughter and we want to get you married we are already in our 60's hope you understand but we will respect your choice , here are few photos of grooms if your interested please select one" my dad said with a warm smile and I became nervous , am I ready to get married? Is the only question running in my brain! And many other questions and most of all the insecurities I have!
" I will think about this dad but just don't force me " I uttered and looked at them , they nodded and said " we will never force you beta but we only wish for your best life that's all and as parents we are selfish to see our daughter having a family of our own before we die " they said , " I know papa but just give me some time " I said and they nodded their heads.
I went into my room and looked at file to see the photos I don't know what to do now? I thought for a while and I opened the file and came across few men and one man caught my eye his name is Ashish and he his cinematographer idk what I saw in him but his smile definitely captured my eyes, I kept looking at his profile and for a second I was sure i maybe selecting him.
I turned at the mirror and looked at myself and laughed bitterly I am just a normal girl with normal features and he looks so handsome I am 100% sure he wouldn't accept me but I pushed myself and decided to give his pic to my dad next day. Let's see if this is what return in my life.
