Wednesday|| 10 am|| The Garden House
The nutty-caramel aroma of my coffee blended with the scent of flowers as I sat out in the garden house, watching my online lecture for my pharmacology course and taking notes on my iPad with the GoodNotes app. I like to come out here when I do my work because it's so peaceful and centering. Hearing the birds chirp and watching the butterflies float around fills me with a sense of serenity. It's really nice being able to sleep a little longer and wake up with more energy to do my work, now that Fallon is taking Chasity to school. They're gradually starting to form a bond, and that makes me excited for my future with Fallon. When we have a child, we're all going to be one big happy family. That's something that me and Chasity didn't have when we were growing up. Fallon had a big family, but she wasn't happy. We're both healing the inner child within each other. Speaking of family, I've been struggling hard with keeping my encounter with Fantasia a secret from Fallon. Trust is the groundwork for a healthy relationship, and I feel like I'm betraying her trust. I should just tell her. Besides, it's not like I met up with Fantasia behind her back purposefully. We just happened to be in the same place at the same time, and I had no idea who she was until she told me. Maybe if I tell Fallon that I met Fantasia, then she'll open up to me about what went down between them to fracture their sisterhood to the point that it can't be repaired. We're three years in to our relationship and I feel like I'm still getting to know her, which is fine, but I feel like I'm missing pieces of the real Fallon.
It was just turning 12:30 when I finished up with my studying session for the day. Going back into the house and up to the bedroom, I found Fallon getting dressed in a black workout set with her AirPod Max's on her head. She turned away from the body mirror and walked up to me with a smile on her face, slipping her arms around my waist and pulling me close to her to peck my lips.
Fallon: Hey, baby. How did your studying go?
Taraji: It was fine. I feel good about my next exam.
Fallon: I can't wait to call you nurse Taraji. It has such a sexy ring to it. I'll be coming to you for daily checkups. Can love-sickness be cured?
Taraji:*giggles* You're so silly. Are you about to go to the gym?
Fallon: It's pretty outside. I was just gonna jog around the neighborhood. Do you wanna come with me?
Taraji: Sure, just let me get changed real quick.
I put my school materials away in my large Marc Jacobs Tote bag and changed into some black Nike pros with a brown pull-over hoodie. She grabbed my hand and we left the house. I decided to let us enjoy the solitude of just being alone with each other and taking in the nature around us for a good 30 minutes before I would disrupt the peace by bringing up Fantasia. We ended up coming to the lake at the edge of the neighborhood out by country club area. It won't be easy for her to get mad at me when we're surrounded by so much beauty.
