“Sa mundong puno ng mga tanga, naging isa ka pa talaga sa kanila, Iana!” sigaw ni Stacey “Bakit mo naman ibibigay pagkababae mo sa lalakeng isang buwan mo lang nakasama? May scorpion ata ‘yang utak mo eh!”
Habang sinisigawan ni Stacey si Iana na wala na lamang masagot dahil sa paghagulgol nito, kami naman ni Deo ay kararating lang sa bahay ni Iana nang masaksihan namin ang pangyayaring iyon. Iana covered her face when she saw us, as if she was ashamed and cannot look directly in our direction. She looks so helpless. Her eyes were swelling from crying, her hair is really messed up. I instantly ran to her and hugged her tightly. It's crushing my heart just by seeing her looking this miserable.
“Maui...” Iana sobbed
“Ano bang nangyari, Yana?” I asked
She looked at everyone in the room.
“Sorry” she said, then she covered her face again and continue crying.
I hugged her more tightly, I want her to feel that she’s not alone in her battle. We have her—her friends. We’re always here no matter what. Kahit na hindi ko pa alam ang nangyari ay hindi ko na muna tinanong, ayokong mas umiyak pa si Iana.
A few minutes had passed and she's now calm. I looked at Stacey, she looked mad—raging mad. Just seeing her stares with Iana, it could kill somebody.
“Ano ba nangyari Iana?” I asked
“Si Miguel, h-he.. w-we got drunk last week and then everything happened so fast, and..and now..he broke up with me” Iana explained, struggling to say anything.
“EH GAGO PALA TALAGA ‘YONG HAYOP NA ‘YON E!” galit na sabi ni Deo “SABI KO NAMAN KASE SA INYO, UNA PALANG ‘DI KO NA GUSTO UGALI NG LALAKENG ‘YON”
“Hoy! hindi lang ikaw tol, andito rin ako no!” Stacey said “Eh sina Reina lang naman botong-boto sa mukhang paang lalake na iyon e!”
“ ‘Di ko naman alam na ganoon mangyayari Stace, ‘di naman ako psychic para mahulaan ang future” Reina stated.
“ ‘Di lang naman ‘yon eh” Stacey said “Iana sabihin mo kanila ano pa nangyari”
I looked at Iana, there were tears filing up in her eyes, her mouth is trying to mumble words but she couldn't. Nasasaktan talaga ako na makita siyang nagkakaganito. Pero nagtataka rin ako kung ano’ng ibig sabihin sa sinabi ni Stacey kanina. What does she mean by that?
“Buntis ako..” Iana cried
Everyone in the room fell silent. BUNTIS? and babasurahin lang siya ng lalakeng ‘yon without taking his responsibility sa bata? I looked at Stacey who already knew everything, that's why she's yelling at Iana few minutes ago. She look so disappointed—everyone is so disappointed. I was disappointed yet I pitied her. She's been through a lot; sa college palang, tapos sa family niya and then this?
“W-what?” I said “So anong plano mo?”
“I don’t know..ipa abort ko nalang ‘to” she looked down
“GAGA KABA?” Reina shouted “NASIRA NA NGA BUHAY MO, SISIRAIN MO PA BUHAY NG BATANG NASA SINAPUPUNAN MO?”
“ANONG GUSTO NIYONG GAWIN KO?” she stood up “DI KO NAMAN KAYANG BUHAYIN ‘TONG BATANG TO”
“We’re here Iana, tutulungan ka namin” Deo said calmly
“Wasak na wasak na ‘tong buhay ko, ayoko may ma damay pa sa kagagahan ko. I don't want my parents to look at me differently, ano nalang sasabihin nila? Na pakasta ang anak nila? na napunta sa wala lahat ng pinaghirapan nila sa akin?” she pulled her hair, walking back-in-fourth then sat down “pagod na pagod na ako! hindi ko na alam anong gagawin ko” she cried
