"Are we going to make up now?"

Chi Buyu seemed to have said this more than once in her memory.

The first time was after the performance of "Trouble Maker" at the school entrance party. Even in her wheelchair, Chi Buyu had to say this. Later, she became so dizzy from the pain that she forgot about it and didn't bring it up again. Cui Xijin couldn't understand back then—did her relationship with Chi Buyu really require "making up"? So, Cui Xijin didn't give a definitive answer.

The second time was in their senior year of high school, because of Yu Chenxing.

As for the third time...

It was after that argument during the college entrance examination. Chi Buyu was genuinely furious that time and didn't pay any attention to her until their class graduation dinner.

Instead, she acted sulky, pouring herself a glass of wine with an annoyed expression, clearly glaring at Cui Xijin. When Cui Xijin looked over, she quickly turned her gaze away.

Finally, she slammed the empty wine glass onto the table and stormed out, not knowing where she was going.

Cui Xijin only caught a glimpse of Chi Buyu's flushed face and her receding figure. When a person is distracted, they accept whatever is handed to them.

So, she deftly took the cup offered by the class monitor, Crab, drank it without any expression, and didn't even look at Crab's reaction before setting the cup down and following Chi Buyu.

That day, Chi Buyu walked ahead in anger, and Cui Xijin trailed behind her, thinking that Chi Buyu was so worked up that her hair seemed to stand on end, her bun swaying.

She didn't know where they were going, but her memory was of a street shimmering with blue and red lights, freshly washed by rain.

There was also a seemingly poor film crew shooting by the roadside, scattered crew members, and many props that showed signs of being patched together. A person wearing a cap and vest was arguing with the owner of a lighting store, their necks red with anger—"I said, just put my store name up there, what's the big deal!" Another person squatted by the roadside smoking, constantly dialing numbers and muttering, "If you want me to get more investment, you better guarantee I'll be famous all over the country!"

At that time, the crew hadn't cleared the area.

So, the two of them wandered through the streets and alleys, eventually barging into the film crew's set, wandering around aimlessly—one sulking ahead, the other sulking behind, not knowing how many people were watching them. In the end, they were caught by the assistant director, who stared at them for a while and then cheerfully asked,

"You two... are having an argument, huh?"

Chi Buyu turned her chin and huffed through her nose, "No."

Cui Xijin, feeling dizzy from the alcohol, awkwardly replied, "I'm not arguing with her."

To the adults, this was clearly an argument, a very evident childish tantrum. The result was that the assistant director enthusiastically invited them to be background actors in a shot, playing two high school students who were arguing.

Excited from drinking, Chi Buyu thought she was going to be a big star and immediately raised her hand in agreement. Cui Xijin, also drunk and unable to resist, went along with it.

So, they really began to argue on that street. How absurd, how bizarre. Cui Xijin had never done anything like that in her life, and later she often wondered how she could have so many strange and absurd stories if it weren't for Chi Buyu. Even more so, they were now part of a film.
