A Name Like Its Meaning

The boss of the car rental company drove an old delivery truck that looked like it had eaten popping candy, towing back the two little electric scooters that had run out of battery, and very enthusiastically gave them a ride to a place where they could catch a taxi.

On the way back, the four of them were quite normal.

Chen Wenran didn't ask Cui Xijin what had just happened, instead chatting excitedly with Ran Yan under the dim car lights, preparing to post a few scattered photos taken with their phones throughout the day on social media.

Chi Buyu seemed to have no objections either; sitting in the front passenger seat, she heard Ran Yan and Chen Wenran somewhat enviously remark, "How does Shui Shui look good no matter how she's photographed?" She happily raised her hand high, giving a cheer complete with sound effects.

After passing a traffic light, she quickly pulled her hand back, resting it on the seat, threateningly gritting her teeth, "But you're not allowed to post the original pictures!"

Cui Xijin was sitting in the back seat behind her.

If she didn't turn around, all she could see was Chi Buyu's back of the head, but if she did, she would be able to see her profile.

Chi Buyu's demeanor was just as it had been during the day.

Hearing compliments about her beauty made her lift her chin proudly as she looked through the photos on her camera.

When she found a picture she didn't like, she would pout in displeasure. Upon reaching the last few embarrassing ghost-like images, she would burst into giggles.

If she stumbled upon a photo where others looked unattractive but she looked good, she would hold up the camera, proudly showing it to them. When Ran Yan reached out, trying to delete it while she was unprepared, Chi Buyu suddenly became smart and quickly pulled her hand back, cheerfully exclaiming, "I definitely want to post this one on my birthday!"

Everything remained intact.

Including the triangular shape that still couldn't be easily shaken.

Cui Xijin didn't know whether she should feel grateful for the situation or experience an inexplicable frustration.

She remained silent in the car on the way back.

Even when the rather old-fashioned Didi driver suddenly asked if the young people today liked Jay Chou as they passed a night market...

And then turned up the music to play "Mine Mine" for them.

Chen Wenran sighed, feeling quite melancholic, and remarked, "How are we still considered young people?"

Ran Yan shot her a glare and said, "Don't act weird, I'm still in my prime!"

Seated in the passenger seat, Chi Buyu giggled, seemingly unfazed, neither rebutting nor voicing any disagreement with the song. She probably couldn't even remember the hypocritical scammer Mine.

She continued to scroll through the photos on her camera.

Along with the increasingly indistinct lyrics of Jay Chou, she swayed her head, humming a few lines of "Oh, my eyelids are twitching"...

Cui Xijin lazily leaned against the front of the car, her gaze hidden in the shifting car lights, struggling to find any reliable focus.

Just as they returned.

When Chi Buyu saw Meng Yuhong in the neighbor's house, which had been converted into a mahjong parlor, her expression changed. In a hurry, she threw the cup in her hand to the nearby elderly lady. The elderly lady noticed Chi Buyu's hand tremble but still reluctantly accepted the blame.
