Late at night, Yu Chenxing sent a reply. By then, Chi Buyu had already finished her shift at Cui Xijin's house and left. She had made sure Cui Xijin was tucked safely into bed and, before Cui Xijin fell asleep, told her an overly vivid and terrifying story about SpongeBob burying a body.

Cui Xijin just slightly raised her eyelids and gave a two-word assessment:

"Boring."

Chi Buyu gasped in surprise. "How could it be boring? This was the scariest episode when I was a kid! I couldn't even watch it before bed!"

Cui Xijin let out a soft snort. "Then you must be easily scared."

Chi Buyu felt a bit indignant.

But she didn't argue with the patient. Before leaving, she patted Cui Xijin lightly on the forehead and said, "Alright, go to sleep. Don't be scared, okay?"

Cui Xijin frowned slightly, clearly unhappy with Chi Buyu's recent habit of patting her on the head. She gave a warning before Chi Buyu left, "You'd better not really think of me as a child."

Chi Buyu had no intention of changing her ways. Resting her face on her hand, she grinned mischievously, "Got it, little baby Cui Mu Huo."

Cui Xijin knew she was deliberately not listening. She calmly closed her eyes, then opened them again to look at Chi Buyu, letting out a light "hmph."

"Do you realize I'm older than you?"

"I know~," Chi Buyu said. "You're an Aquarius and I'm an Aries. We're the same year, just a few days apart."

Cui Xijin snorted again, lightly:

"Even if it's just an hour, a minute, or a second..."

"Not listening, not listening!" Chi Buyu covered her ears defiantly, clearly not convinced.

Cui Xijin was amused by her antics. After laughing, she lifted her chin slightly, looking at Chi Buyu with a calm expression that carried a hint of stubbornness.

However, without her glasses and under the soft light, her eyebrows looked fluffy, giving her a slightly obedient appearance. Then, she playfully flicked Chi Buyu on the forehead.

"But I'm still older than you."

This was Yu Chenxing's second response after Chi Buyu had asked her earlier question.

By that time, Chi Buyu was already getting ready for bed. Half-asleep, she fumbled for her phone, which had vibrated twice.

Partially lifting her eye mask and squinting at the screen, she saw the two messages and suddenly sat up in bed. In a hurry, she pushed the strawberry bear eye mask further up into her hair, pressed her lips together, and quickly typed:

Chi Buyu sat up straight and typed back: 【It's still early; I can't sleep.】

Yu Chenxing replied: 【Oh, I haven't slept yet either. I just got back to the hotel and lay down.】

Ignoring the yawns she had been fighting off, Chi Buyu seriously pulled her large strawberry bear closer and hugged it tightly. Resting her chin on the bear's head, she tapped at her phone screen for a few seconds, then sent:
