She had somehow managed to concentrate enough to throw herself to the side out of the way from the razor sharp jaws. She crawled away frantically not yet able to realize that she had to stand and run. It had just stood looming over her, jaws widened far much more than they should be able to. It had just stood there, mouth agape, drool pooling downwards, its hot breath had filled her lungs. It stunk of rot and decay, the smell was crude and revolting. She cried out sounding like a terrified child as tears continued to flood down her face. Her clothes were now becoming covered with the grime that was coated over the floor of the room. She scrambled to her feet, her legs wobbled and she didn't think she was able to continue standing. She now noticed her hands were covered in a goo-like saliva, her hair also had a good amount of it in her hair as well. She hiccuped in shaking breaths as her gaze traveled upwards.
It was staring at the girl. It was staring her directly into her eyes. Its eyes were blood red and cold, holding no type of feeling at all. They were hollow, they were deathly hungry. They glowed giving off a red ambiance. It lit up the room enough so that she could see its' body. The girl was unsure though just what she was looking at. It all seemed so surreal.
The body of, this, thing. It looked as though it didn't have a body to begin with. Its' body seemed to be made of some kind of mist or fog substance. It floated about, it was darker than the color of coal. There was no way to see through it, it was thick and murky. Protruding outwards were four long, thin limbs that were grey in color. At the hands were large, curved talons that seemed to be so sharp they could literally slice through the air. Its' head, its' face was somehow even more horrifying than the rest of its' body or even this situation. It was simply an animal-like skull. There was no flesh or any kind of tissue at all. It was completely bare. It was riddled with little cracks all over. The teeth were on full display, four of them outdone the others when it came down to size. They glistened lightly. Its' eyes seemingly were just floating within the sockets of the skull.
Its' height was menacingly and freakishly wrong. It was wrong in every sense of the word. She was struggling to accept the sight before her. It was right in front of her eyes but she didn't want to see it. She didn't want to have to believe it because if she did it would mean that this was all real and not just some dream. And it was. It was very real.
Between the two of them, the tension was high. There was an unspoken concept of communication that spoke and gripped tightly at them. She had ended up somewhere she should have never been. At the same time she ended exactly where this thing wanted her to be. It was more than delighted to have her be in this lair of a room with it. It could almost taste the sweet, tender flavor of flesh. It could already feel the blood bursting in gushes inside of its mouth, splattered, its' teeth crunching the bones.
She could see herself being killed, she could see herself being nothing more. She would be gone. Her lips quivered and her sobs were something she could no longer control even if she had tried. It opened its' mouth slowly, letting out an impatient rumble that came from deep within its' stomach chamber to the back of its' throat, all the way up bouncing off the inside of its' skull. Something that would be described as its' tongue, revealed itself. It was tarred and thin with great length as it made a wet slurping noise going past the teeth and flickering in the air. Saliva dripped onto the floor and hit the guck that lived there in a pitter-patter repetition.
The eyes of this thing flickered and gave off the illusion of growing larger than before as it drew closer and closer with each daunting and teased, purposefully slow step, fixated on her. The girl started to huff her breathing rapidly, the rasp in her throat leaving her as her entire body went dead cold. Her heart beating stupidly abnormal while her eyes were still locked with its', the black sporadic pupils reflecting her own fear-struck image and only then did she realize she was trembling and only then did she hear her teeth chattering.
