A quick author's note! This chapter contains our characters catching some fish to eat. It explains how they catch it and how they will cook it.

So, if this is something you do not wish to read, this is my FAIR WARNING to you. The fish scene is not so graphic but I am just letting you know!

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy!

"I can already taste those fish!" Jean exclaimed enthusiastically. I felt the same, my mouth was practically salivating the whole we have been walking over to the river. The thought of eating something other than what we have been was just pure, unimaginable bliss. We tried to walk as fast as we could at certain moments because we just couldn't wait. Now that we were excited to reach the river it seemed like this walk would never end and we would be walking for years and years, decades even.

This morning we had just sat around for a little bit until we went outside for fresh air. Jean was watching me like a hawk, afraid that any movement I make. Any step I took, was going to result in another convulsive attack. I had to shoo him away more than once and insisted that I was fine. I also reminded him that it's just what happens and I can't control it and neither can he so all we can do is continue on like normal. Mentioning that he was also going to have the same situation happen to him at some point was something he did not want to speak of. He didn't even want to think of it. He kept shushing me every time I brought it up because I was 'putting it out there', like I was going to be the reason he suddenly goes into spasms now.

Our bruises were still sore and very prominent but we couldn't just lay around forever dwelling on our misfortune. So we made sure to stretch our muscles to keep them functioning the way we want them to. There was no doubt that we would be running for our lives again. But that wasn't something to think about today. For once, I wasn't going to be scared of living in this life. For today, we were going to catch us some fish! How? I have no idea. But we were going to eat a warm meal. Starting the fire was something we would have to concern ourselves with later.

Nearing the river now, we all but skipped down the path. All we had to do now was to go farther down following its' flow until it leads us to a part that is deeper and more likely to have some fish. Not so deep for our sake but hopefully there would be something. "How do you think we're going to catch one?" I asked Jean, looking for his insight to see if he could come up with anything.

"Well first let's see if there are any." His face looked gloomy at the thought of there not being any. "Um, maybe you could just point them out to me. I don't mind doing the dirty work, it'll be fun for me!" Even though he was trying to be upbeat and also try to give me more time to rest, my eyes gave Jean exactly what I was thinking and all the go-ahead for him to know he should just drop it. He pursed his lips and decided it was safer to just leave me be.

We walked on and came to a section of the river that seemed like it would be a good spot to start trying to find our lunch. Surveying the scene was pretty calming I would say. There were some trees that I hadn't noticed before but then again I didn't really come this far. They looked greener than the ones we have seen. They actually seemed healthy. The smell of water was not unnoticeable. It smelled fresh and clean, it made us seem like we were in a whole other world and there were no problems.

Upon the ground there were some of those little yellow flowers that I had seen that day a while back. They really were vibrant and I was surprised there were some growing here. Come to think of it I was surprised there was this much of a beautiful part of this forest. I didn't understand how it was all growing the way it was. It was untouched, it was left to its' own devices. The sky looked much clearer here too. It looked more blue in color. The blue looked like an exaggerated amount of blue, it almost seemed fake. I didn't know how that was possible. That's weird?
