Betty was on the call with Glen, hoping that he would have any updates on the blood sample. She hopes that it does not match Polly's.

"Glen. Did you get the blood results from the phone booth back?" Betty asked over the phone.

"I did." Glen said over the phone while carrying some papers.

"The recovered blood is AB negative. The rarest type. Under 1% of the population." He admitted.

"And a match for Polly." Betty spoke slowly.

"So she... she's really?" Betty voice began to break down over the phone.

"I'm so sorry Betty." Glen said.

"No you're not, if you had cared at all about me or my sister, you would have done something to help me." Betty voice was stern, she was pissed at him.

"Betty, look I realize you're upset –

"Screw you Glen!" Betty yelled from the phone as she hung up on him and ended the call.

Betty slowly broke down in tears, unable to control herself. Betty changed her outfit and went to the common room where all her friends were at, sitting on the chairs and drinking their coffee and engaging in conversations.

She saw Veronica and Archie sitting beside one another, smiling at each other. She was too hurt about Polly to let this thing of whatever she feels for Archie affect her.

Kevin was talking to Fangs when Betty leaned forward and hugged him as she broke down in tears. She didn't know what had become of her, she hardly is ever vulnerable but this was different and she couldn't control the tears that were coming down.

"Betty, what's wrong ?" Kevin asked, realizing that Betty was crying as Betty released him from the hug.

"She's gone Kev." Betty said, her voice breaking down.

"Who's gone?" He placed his hands on her shoulders.

"It's Polly. The blood is a match to Polly's." A tear came down her eyes, running slowly.

"Oh Betty, I'm so sorry." Kevin gave her another hug.

"She's gone and I don't know how I'm going to tell my mom. And it's all my fault." Betty was freaking out at this point as she was shaking and fiddling with her hands and sweater that was a dark pink colour with patches of black.

"Betty it's not. Polly made her own decision so you can't blame yourself for this." Kevin reassured her, he hated seeing his best friend in pain. Him and betty had been best friends since they were five so he knew her better than anyone, well that wasn't actually true maybe the second as Archie would always know her better than anyone.

In that moment as Archie watched, he knew he had to come in and help her, any minute now to comfort her.

"Of course it's my fault. If I had been a better friend, a better sister to Polly then she would still be alive." Betty voice broke down again.

"She would be alive so it's my fault, everything is my fault." Betty's face was now flooded in tears that she could not control.

Archie was sat next to Veronica when he got up from the lounge and stepped away from her and walked towards Betty, his best friend.

He stepped forwards and looked at her sadly as he leaned in and gave her a huge hug as his left arm around her back, his right arm was stroking the back of Betty's head. "Betty it's okay, you're going to be okay." He said softly as his voice sounded like whispers.

His fingers were in her hair as he comforted her. "Arch, she's gone." Betty leaned back to look at him.

"I know but I'm here for you." He looked at her in the eyes as he placed his right hand and cupped her face and wiped away her tears with his thumb and stroked her face.
