Betty walked into the common room, where all her friends were sat, chatting on a lunch break.
"Bee what the hell happened to you? You look rough." Veronica said, pulling a uncomfortable facial expression.
"Thanks Vee." Betty said as she rolled her eyes at her.
Her hair was in a scruffy ponytail and her eyes were red, her face was pale looking.
"You look good to me." Archie said.
"Thanks Arch, it's just feels like everything is falling apart. It's someone is taking a hammer to my brain and I can't stop it. Because all I can think of it Polly and she's everywhere in my dreams and I can't seem to shake it." Betty said.
"I'm sorry betty." Archie half smiled up at her.
"It's okay." Betty reassured him.
"You should take some rest." Archie looked at her softly.
"I can't I have a class to teach." Betty explained.
"I'll find someone to cover for your or I'll do it myself. You should go home Betty and rest until you are okay." Archie walked towards Betty until he stood right next to her.
"I'm fine." Betty replied.
"Betty. You haven't eaten a thing but don't worry I'll help you." Archie smiled as he looked at her.
"You really don't have t-
"Come on let's go, Kevin cover for me." Archie spoke loudly as he put his arm on Betty's shoulder as they left the common room.
"He never did that whenever I was ill." Veronica began to roll her eyes.
"He has a blind spot for Betty." Kevin told her.
"Don't say that." Veronica said defensively.
"Well instead of being jealous, why not try to be there for betty. She's struggling with Polly and everything more than anyone this year." Kevin said.
"We all have gone through things that are hard." Veronica did not understand what Betty had gone through.
"Not like what Betty has, you don't know what she has gone through." Kevin stated.
"Shows who her true friends are. It's something to think about." Kevin added as he walked away from her to teach Archie's class.

Back at the Coopers house Betty and Archie are on Betty's bed. They had just been to Pop's for a meal and now Archie took her back so that she could have some rest.
"Thanks for this Arch." Betty gave him a sweet smile.
"Always." Archie smiled back at her.
"I guess the trauma and ptsd is still there but I will be fine I think." Betty began to fiddle with her fingers which she often did when she was nervous and anxious.
"I'm here for you betty and you don't have to go through it alone." Archie placed his hand on hers.
"You don't have to, you have enough going on Arch." Betty said as she looked into his eyes.
"None that is more important than you." Archie reminded her.
"You know you can always talk to me right?" Archie asked.
"I know. I'm just not ready for that yet." Betty told him.
"Listen Betty I know you still have the nightmares." Archie spoke softly.
