"I'm sorry I put you through that." Jughead said.

"It's okay." Tabitha said.

"I forgive you." Tabitha smiled up at him.

Betty went to go meet Jughead to talk.

"Uh, you mom tells me you've been going to the lonely highway?" Jughead asked.

"Yeah by dressing like Polly and pretending to be a hitchhiker." Betty said.

"Is that safe?" Jughead asked, concerned.

"Probably not but I'm running out of ideas so." Betty told him.

"I'm sorry for that voicemail I left. I was drunk, stupid and a mess." Jughead explained to her.

"Why now after half a decade?" Betty asked.

"It's one of my steps, to healing and recovering. I'm an alcoholic. An addict." Jughead nervously chuckled.

"I'm an addict too. Maybe a better word is compulsive. I can't stop hunting for the trucker killer. I realised I'm more comfortable hunting down killer than socialising with real people." Betty admitted.

"You should take a break from that or talk to Archie." Jughead suggested.

"No that's complicated at least I can control this. I can't control how he feels." Betty looked at him.

Betty heard a knock on the door so she decided to check it out. It was Tabitha.

"Jughead told me what you are doing Betty and it's dangerous and it's reckless." Tabitha told her.

"So I'm going with you." Tabitha said.

"Come again?" Betty did not want her involved, this was her mess.

"I'm getting changed and I'm coming with you and you can't stop me. This is my decision Betty." Tabitha smirked as she went inside to change.

Betty couldn't change her mind so she accepted defeat.

The two girls were walking alongside the lonely highway.

"So yeah me and Archie are complicated." Betty admitted.

"It's only because you two make it complicated." Tabitha said.

"Face it he hasn't been with Veronica in months and by the time the divorce is finalised he will have given up by now. At least that is what Jughead told me." Tabitha smiled at Betty, giving her some hope.

"I don't know Tabitha." Betty sighed.

"I know love when I see it. I see that in you and Archie." She cleared her throat before she spoke again.

"Fight for him, for each other in this crazy town. If we don't fight for the ones we love, why would we want to live?" Tabitha stared at Betty as Betty thought about Archie for a second.

And Tabitha was right.

"I mean has he spoken to Veronica?" Tabitha asked.

"Not really. He's been there for me recently." Betty smiled at the thought of him.

"Go for it Betty." Tabitha nudged her by the shoulder.

"And Jughead? I see things." Betty smiled at her.

"I guess. You're a good friend Betty." Tabitha smiled up at her.

"You're the best friend." Betty smiled at her.
